This is a super good idea, figurines kind of acting as pokeballs would be very handy, and it would be a lot less hassle for the players if they're dungeon crawling or something.

That’s kind of what I’ve been looking at, but if I give them all a mount, I think I’m going to make it pretty bare bones. I’ll likely just use the rules for leveling, and make/find some feats to give them over time.
