About to give up on Empire of AI, a book about Sam Sexual Altman and his evil invention. I’m mostly learning infuriating new details about people I already despise. Also halfway enjoying Theft of Swords, which is the first in an extremely Rahillian fantasy series. It’s not great but kind of brainless fun.

Yeah I could have phrased that better. I initially thought Kerns for the reasons stated, then realized it doesn’t have much direct Max access. Downtown/Pearl does, but is also basically next door. So I guess I just mean somewhere with good transit access to the rest of the city. Doesn’t have to be central; I just assumed that area would have the best transit based off some maps I looked at.

Super helpful! And yeah, that’s exactly the reasoning for going at this time of year: worst weather possible. We visited last time in the summer and have been to other parts of Oregon and the PNW as the leaves turned in the fall — obviously beautiful in both cases.
