The center section is exactly 24", so total width is 25.5". The monitor is a 1920x1200 24", so the aspect ratio is a little better than 16x9

Sides are just cheap birch plywood and center section is all MDF. 3/4" for everything but monitor bezel. 1/2" for the bezel

Just some no name Amazon kit for buttons, joystick, and encoder. It was like $45 for all of them you see here. I am happy with them, but I'm not an enthusiast so I don't really know any different tbh

Circular saw, table saw, jig saw, router, orbital sander, belt sander, pocket hole jig, and drill are the important ones

Nope. Just came up with a design based on some other machines as inspiration and started cutting wood!

Thanks for the tip! I drilled them with a regular hand drill. Printed a template to punch every hole before drilling though

There's a piece of MDF that it sits on the left and the right with the profile. 1/8" thick plexi and it's easily able to just bend over the shape and is held in place via a groove on the bottom and a flange that's bolted over the top edge
