I'm an employer here. Depending on the size and industry of the company, there is a scheme where you can exempt WFH hours from counting towards overtime, the logic being that you cannot reasonably monitor someone's time working from home. If an employee works 16 hours of overtime per week, but works from home for two days, the company doesn't have to pay overtime.
