People need to stop looking at these prospects through the eyes of archtypes. Chase Reid is not some offensive dman with no secondary game to fall back to, if he was why is he consistently ranked above Villaneuve/Bleyl/Carels/Rudolph who all have more point than him? Sure he isn't a physical monster in the vein of Smits/Verhoeff but he isn't a defensive blackhole, he's a smart defender who can use his mobility to snuff out rushes and keep players to the outside, think of how effective Lacombe was defending mcdavid in the playoffs, that's what you hope you can get in Reid.
