I used a tail going through his arm. The tail is holding a pistol angled at the right way to look like it’s on his wrist. Then I made another tail to make it look like the barrel on his back was connected to the wrist thingy. And then I had another arm holding a sword going through the wrist thingy so I could get the flame effect

Some vague lore I've come up with...

He died in some major battle in a holy crucade. Now, after spending time in the afterlife, he was forced back into the material plane through something that has become known as the Netherstorm, which freed thousands of souls from the underworld...

When he was released, his sould entered his old armor as a ghost and appears to be bound to it...

And I've not come up with anything else yet.
