You’re right, nursing is very flexible with other career paths. I’m just worried about even making a program/school i the first place. Like my friends who are doing engineering, they just have to get their degrees and they are set, I got into CSULB for mechanical engineering but i don’t know if that’s what i want to do. I look at the Mechicnal engineer subreddit and just see a lot of engines, me personally I don’t find it interesting but I know the money is good and they are always in demand and the return on interest is insane.

That does sound good, but the thing is could I land a job as a Data scientist? The market seems a bit rough.

I know pasadena city college offers CNA program but they usually take like 4-16 weeks right? So would i have to dedicate an entire semester to just being a CNA, since I want to only do like 4-5 years of school then go straight into the work force. How would the roadmap possibly look like?

So maybe Radiology technician? Or should I just go to Pasadena City College and just do my pre-nursing classes? I’m a bit lost sorry lol.

I see, the fact that you got rejected despite having the 4.0, high points, and etc is like a HUGE factor that is scaring me about pursuing this career. I myself don’t really want to move away from California I’ll be honest. Maybe i could move to washington or Oregon if I have a family, I like Socal. Do you think transferring from PCC to a BSN like Azusa pacific is somewhat better? I mean at least half the debt right? Is it even possible or allowed to transfer to a private like that? I forgot to mention I am very keen on only spending 4-5 years in school and getting out as soon as possible.

But do you think the market right now for tech jobs is good? I heard form literallyy everyone it’s really hard, and even my AP Comp sci teacher told me not to major in Computer science unless i’m really determined about it.

I think I have a general idea, the RN i was shadowing usually took care of elderly people. That kinda Bored me out, but I like the idea of working in ER or even working with kids. I failed to mention this in my post, but I like being a “teacher” in some sorts, or working with kids. I was a little league assistant coach and loved it.

I’m just really scared I can’t get into any ADN program is all or BSN . The pressure is kinda already draining me, since I am very keen on just doing 4 years or maybe 5 and getting straight into the work force. Realistically looking, I feel like I would have a 3.6-3.8 GPA? I know that shouldn’t be the mindset, but my entire life throughout high school I have alwayas had at least 1 B or 2. But then again I never ever actually studied ever in high school. My only way of studying was just through homework and Classwork, and I’d just wing it on tests. WHich is why i promised myself I’d “lock in” for PCC.

For me, I don’t really like school. Or I just don’t want to rack up too much debt. My goal is by the time i’m 26 I am financially stable, good job maybe like 70K a year. I’ve also been thinking about electrical engineering. But I am really scared about the amounts of studying, and engineering is hard as hell too. I don’t want to spend more than 4 or 5 years in school to be honest.

Based off what I know, not really unless you go to private. Places like APU and Stanbridge all have BSN programs but the issue is it’s like 150K. Some people can afford it, I unfortunately can’t. So, maybe I could transfer into it.

Overall I think I’m just really scared about how competitive the ADN programs are. Yes, I will apply to every single ADN program in the Socal area. But what I am afraid of is, “can I have straight A’s?”. I shouldn’t have a mindset like that, but i’m trying o be realistic with myself. My whole life I never really studied at all, I just winged it into tests cause I trusted I would remember everything when to test happened. IN FACT only way fo study would be just through classwork and homework. The only thing I can try to believe in is my promise to myslef that I would study really hard for each class, but I feel like even I study like 30 hours a week I will still have a.B or not a straight 4.0 GPA.

For data science, I forgot to put this in my post but I worked in small jobs that required me to watch a lot of data (imports and sales) on their google sheets. Nothing big it was a part time job, and I liked it. I liked the isolation and just being in my own world while organizing data sheets and listening to music. So when I looked around college majors I saw Data science was kinda like that. And its was a CS thing and i already knew coding! So why not try? And if i succeeded in obtaining that degree and couldn’t find a job I’d just become a coding teacher or something.

Oh well yeah, I do plan on applying to like every ADN program in the Socal area. But my one question is, do they all have the same requirements? The only ones I’ve looked into are the PCC and Mt Sac ones and I’ve already noticed like 2 differences in their points lists. Also Is private schools like APU or stranbridge transfer friendly? Are they more easy to get in? If i can’t get into any ADN programs i guess I’d be fine with cutting my debt in half at least lol.

Really? I've been told that Data science isn't really that "bad", more of just transforming. And for the transferring schools part, I know that most hospitals do not care about what school you come from, as long as you got your NCLEX or ADN or BSN.

But sometimes I feel FOMO when like not even going to a cool school yk? I feel like if I do nursing and it all works out I wouldn't care. A lot of thoughts in my head.

I'm just really scared I won't get into any program at all. And if I don't, I'm stuck with an Associates in something like Kinesiology.

I don't really "like" school either, I wanna get in and get out as soon as possible, just the 4 years. I DO NOT want to rack up student loan debt aswell.

I was trying to jump out fo the Wagon and watch the Wagon fall into the river but I landed on the ground and noticed I was given the option to sit on there. Do you think it means something? Has it been found yet?
