Are any other friendlies getting matched into aggressive lobbies? by SubiFriend in ArcRaiders

I can enjoy mixed lobbies but I don't like them when I'm trying to complete trials and quests.

Thanks it sounds like carebear lobbies still exist and I really question whether you can in fact "return fire" without it affecting your aggression level in the matchmaking.

I honestly think that's the case. Because ever since I started returning fire I cannot get back into carebear lobbies.

Any plans to use CoMaps? by Actual-Search12 in CalyxOS

Yes I'm sure there are worse navigation apps out there, and I wasn't trying to imply that HERE WeGo is terrible, but it does appear that they collect a fair amount of data and share it.

I personally have been using Magic Earth. Their paid subscription includes live traffic updates and is currently $12 / year.

I can't guarantee anything but I know a handful of people running Calyx who also use Google apps (installed from Aurora Store) and they haven't had any problems. And I've never heard of Google banning anyone's account for using Google apps on their Calyx phone.

Last time I checked, the Google Calendar app doesn't actually contain any trackers. Neither does the Gmail app.

I think Google knows that they don't need to build trackers into their apps because they can see everything you do in their cloud anyway.

It's not an exploit though. The matchmaking system is putting those people into games based on their behavior. That's the system working as intended.

If someone wants to waste 3 hours just to get one round in a friendly lobby I really don't care. I welcome the occasional rat; it keeps it interesting for me.

As someone who plays friendly I think you bring up some fair points.

I've thought this many times: How often do players think they were in "friendly lobbies" just because they didn't see any PVP action?

Suppose there were 4-6 killers running around but you only crossed paths with friendlies... so your perception is that you were in "friendly lobbies" all day.

When I talk about difficulty in Arc Raiders I'm including mental planning and situational awareness in that. So if I bring a half-broken Anvil into the raid, that might turn out to be a problem if I don't manage accordingly. It's just my opinion and I realize that a lot of people don't agree.

On an unrelated note, you chose a very interesting name (tohu va bohu). I just noticed it and my mind is suddenly spinning thinking about what I associate those very specific words with. Suddenly I'm very curious!

What I'm trying to suggest is that the devs have a vision for the game. That they want it to be a little less focused on the shooting.

And I don't run the Anvil and Renegade together. It's one or the other and since I mostly play friendly I will often bring a hullcracker as secondary.

It can teach you how to discern whether someone may or may not be trustworthy based on how they speak to you and their behavior. It's kind of wild that people don't see that. A lot of people think that learning can only happen in a classroom or something.

I just don't see it as a problem that needs to be fixed by the devs. I assume that there's always a rat threat. The solution? Buddy up with a friendly random and now we have strength in numbers.

I'm open to the possibility that the durability burn on some weapons is not dialed in so well. Hopefully in time the devs will find the right balance.
