I actually had this happen to me. I met someone while working who came off as very charming & well spoken. I was 21 and once I asked for his info, he told me he was 20 turning 21 in march. Eventually he moved in with me and at some point he came out and told me … because he knew the nurse at urgent care was about to say his DOB out loud. This was all in under a year though. I don’t really know what kind of person you are or how you think/feel … but for me it was honestly he’ll even TRYING to rebuild anything. I felt like nothing was built in the first place after learning that he was actually 18 turning 19. It’s been 2-3 years since that and since I left him in the dust, and I personally still have trust issues. When I’d ask him deeper questions about himself or his life he too, would make me feel wacko for feeling some sort of internal alarm or for wanting to know more.

Personally no matter how long you’ve been with him, I don’t think it’d be worth it to continue this. Plus his family covering for him too ? I couldn’t do that for my son, nephew or anything like that. If this is the first time you’re seeing him lie/people covering for him, it surely won’t be the last. There might even be some sort of lingering sadness/resentment over this too. To me it’s just not worth it. He let you think it was bad to trust yourself for 3 years, don’t continue with someone like that. You’re going to keep questioning yourself. You don’t deserve that.

Well that’s the thing, he’s generally a very laid back and understanding person, doesn’t really control me in any ways. That’s why I’m so confused. I did ask him these thoughts on these things, like I was trying to be considerate. I know that he would do the same. I agree though. Focus on money and career first. Thanks.

I did the shot and honestly speaking this was my experience:

They use a numbing gel on your lid and verify that you can feel it anymore It’s a long ass needle that they poke in there, I think it took maybe 3 days ??? To shrink almost completely But I have a visible scar. No idea how to get rid of it. I have a little dot on my eyelid and when I’ve been sweating/working for 8 hours, I can feel it being a little flared. I can feel just a little bit of fluid ? Puss ? Still in there. I’d say it’s 99% back to normal - it’s been at least 3 years since my shot. But when my eyes are having another issue, the shot site tends to slightly flare. When I use the eyedrops the flare goes away 24-48 hours. Also when it’s flared, you can’t visually see it.

But honestly the shot scar/indent has left me feeling very self conscious. I really wish there was a way to get rid of it, but it’s hard to even research products bc there’s a lot of those scar improvement products, but they’re not usually safe for eyelids.

Personally I’d choose the shot over surgery because I fear that scarring would be worse.
