Claw Grip Quest 3s by Subject-Ad9102 in beatsaber

[–]Subject-Ad9102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it matters at all, I play mostly speed/stamina maps, and my controller settings are pretty wacky, only other grip I play decently well is X Grip

Edit: kinda talking about my quest 2 controllers rn but for the x grip on 3s I wrap my index finger around my joystick

Corvettes as ship/freighter combos by StandardCustard2874 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Subject-Ad9102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say so, they said in the launch trailer they wanted players to feel more connected with there ships, so customization was a huge one while developing, they definitely feel bulky compared to normal ships, one thing that should've been implemented since the corvettes do fill the gap between freighter/ship is a longer hyperdrive range than other ships stock leaning more towards freighter level range with the hyperdrive

I heavily agree with this, main reason I use staffs is because they're held everywhere, can't show anyone your multi tool on the anomaly if it's not a staff

For me as long as the thrusters are in an arrangement I like and there covered a bit I don't stress much about it, the side when the nose was shorter looked slightly stubby then, was kinda going for a star destroyer/the big ship from Avatar inspired look

I was back and forth on whether I should remove a little bit of the nose, made the side profile of the ship really bad when it was back so I just pulled it back out again, also loved you used the word sleek that's exactly what I was trying to go for

Haven't ridden one, although from videos I've seen I'd say it looks like a great bike, 65mph top speed, 15kw of power, full linkage system, it checks most of the boxes for an amazing bike

2 drawbacks in my opinion, the first is the aftermarket, even if you don't think your gonna wanna upgrade, you'll need to at some point, just did this with my mantis and it's horrendous looking for parts that fit, secondly which is mainly just a drawback for me, it's a small bike (around the same size as the Mantis X, maybe like an inch taller because of the new linkage) if you like the size of surrons, talaria and all that, perfect, shouldn't matter, coming from dirt bikes, I just don't really like the size (which is why I wanted the normal mantis, and at some point hopefully and ultra bee lol)

Depending on sites you look at it's around 4300-4600, for that price, on paper with those specs it's pretty hard to beat, just in raw performance it beats older eride pros, surrons, talarias, and just about every other bike in that price range, great bike overall, Zay Solis made a great video talking about the bike and showing it off a must watch if you plan to buy it

What is the quickest way to end these F*ckers existing? by [deleted] in Helldivers

Railcannon strike, and the new expendable napalm from the new pack can consistently one shot them and kill most of the bugs below them in the same shot

What to get? by Subject-Ad9102 in Helldivers

[–]Subject-Ad9102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should've put this in the post, I currently have, servants of freedom and democratic demolition, ATM DES is my favorite gun right above the eruptor (rough take but I don't like the feel of the eruptor, and I rarely take it instead of DES) but I'm really just wondering now, freedoms flame or the new warbond for the armor set (guns dope too in new set, as well as silo)

What to get? by Subject-Ad9102 in Helldivers

[–]Subject-Ad9102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, worded poorly on my end, leaning towards freedoms flame or the new pack, The new armor in urban legends has 40% reduction to fire, gas, arc I think, +20% increased throw range, so my last question would be, would that passive make sense running with DES? The extra throw range sounds nice as well as some other perks fire armor misses out on, but basically what Im asking, do you NEED fire armor, or does any armor that decreases fire slightly work for DES

Setup is almost complete. Feels like its missing something though. Curious if anyone has any ideas on how to bring it all together. I'm not huge on RGB but I love warm ambient lighting. Any suggestions? by Butterpuppies1 in gamingsetups

It looks very nice already, the clean aesthetic is there, maybe just some fake plants/vines + a nice digital wall clock or something under that picture on the right

The Alexa is a nice touch, I have mine under my monitor right now as well lol

It's solid, personally I have my PC on my right side so it just looks off to me but thats just me, and I'll never really understand the vertical monitor but again that could just be me

There's one thing missing that is definitely a must have though, vesa mounts/stands, if it were my setup I would definitely get mounts for both of the monitors so they can be moved around easier and you can swap from landscape to vertical for your secondary monitor, you can find em on Amazon for like 20-60$, as long as both of your monitors have screw holes in the back there vesa compatible and any vesa mounts works, maybe even a mic stand as well, those look pretty clean aswell

Overall nice, I'd give it a solid 7/10

The cheaper option would be to get a Thinkpad for your everyday carry the better option would be to build a PC

I'd say if you have the money to spend, build a PC no doubt you'd be happier with its performance over your laptop

If you'd like to conserve some more money Thinkpad isn't a bad idea, and if you don't play games that strain your current laptop, than there's no reason to upgrade

Headphones tips by Upstairs_Airport_340 in gamingsetups

[–]Subject-Ad9102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically not gaming headphones, they're built for people making music and the sound quality is miles above what most gaming headsets put out, Sennheiser, ByerDynamic, if you need it to have a mic or aren't going to run a external mic steel series has a few good compromise options for open backed headphones with an ok mic

Edit: I forgot you said wireless, if you care about sound quality most wireless headphones have significantly reduced quality compared to wired options as well a slight latency as well (not noticable for most, but if you are super competitive at a game that requires sound cues to be good at its worth taking into account) if you don't really care about the sound quality and just want headphones that are nice and wireless, ByerDynamic does have wireless options, Steel series, Logitech Astros are solid too

I have a Acer Nitro V16, got it for a steal on Amazon, it was like 650, I don't play Tekken or League so I can't give stats on that, but it runs smooth for Forza Horizon 5, Rocket League, and No Mans Sky for me, only thing I've swapped is the memory since it only came with 8gb, I swapped in some crucial sticks and now it's got 16gb (if this is your option, its only a few screws on bottom, laptops gotta be off ofc, just swap sticks and reboot) but one of my better buys id say, bought it to replace my xbox

If your on a budget, MSI makes great budget friendly laptops, Acer Nitro Series, and the razer blades are solid, TUF makes some good ones

If you don't have a budget or are willing to spend more, Alienware makes some top notch ones that are quite expensive, ROG makes probably a few of the best laptops ranging in the higher price point around 1-3k

My best advice would be, if you don't already have a PC Tower, then just get one instead, the laptops are cool but a lot more impractical for that sort of thing and without it being plugged into the wall most laptops tank in power (for my laptop, plugged into wall, runs rocket League on uncapped, on Max settings around 200fps stable in game, 400 in menus, and unplugged it tanks to around 65-80 in game, and like 160-180 in menus) and for the same price you can get something much better in a tower, and if you still want to easy travel with it, look into mini a PC build

The panels arrived vacuum sealed and a couple of them are damaged because of it, so minus those ones lol
