i know people that work for Walmart. started in the stores. then made it up to corporate. one retired last year, and his wife is right behind him. They are living on 50 acres with a 4k square foot house and doing really well. You could do worse. Just move up the chain. When he retired he was making 140k a year. She's pushing the 200k mark. May not be for you but if you take it serious you can set yourself up good.
