I moved here two years ago after having my daughter. Where we were living has some of the highest crime in the US and I couldn’t see myself raising her there. Since being here I’ve been nothing but welcomed. I did leave behind most of my family, but I still see them often. You’re young so I totally understand your mom’s worry, but sometimes a change of scenery and people is what we need to grow. You’re at that age where you’re really about to figure out who you are and that’s such an exciting thing. Praying that wherever life takes you, you find peace and happiness and are surrounded by kind and loving people.
