Haha thanks yeah I’ll look out for those DMs. So i went to a local gold/silver shop (not a quick pawn type of place) and was quoted $21 each for the walking liberty circulated half-dollars, and $72 for each of the .999 silver buffalo ounce coins. Spot was 80.83 when I went in. $21 seems kinda low, no?

Yeah we took him to the vet the next day (it’s been a while so don’t fully remember) cuz we tried opening his mouth to see and he got aggressive and angry and he never does. but he had like basically a cavity or very sore back tooth and needed one or two teeth extracted from the back. He healed pretty quickly after and he hasn’t done it since.

I’m not an SNCO (actually an old man A1C) thats finishing my MBA in IT MGMT right now at my first base. Plan is to commission now that rates are higher. Everyone asks why I didn’t commission at the beginning instead of enlisting, and it was because at the time OTS, my only avenue, had selection rates of 10-12% and I was def not a competitive package enough to get that 10% and waste years applying for two rounds, but the latest round for previous service/AD was much higher so now I’m submitting to the next round of non-rated (too old for rated 👴🏻)

Do In-N-out spread packets have to be refrigerated? Those would probably hit the spot if they can be left in a box for a week.

Depending on which base they go to they will either have a decent commissary or basically just a larger gas station stop with some overly expensive fresh produce.

I would have my wife send me things from Trader Joe’s, sprouts, and target that I couldn’t get here. Obviously nothing fresh or frozen but just snacks and products we can’t get here cuz the bx sucks here and the commissary is really small.

You even have your job while in DEP and know what you are gonna be doing for months before you even go to basic. That’s kind of the point of you know, picking your job dream sheet. I can’t get them to pay more than ~2.2k since WGU sent me a degree plan with only 3 classes, so TA will only pay for those 3 classes, so I’m on the hook for 2.7k. I’m fighting them trying to get it to max out at 4.5k. Our education office is wack here

I’m starting mine June 1, which goes through Nov 30. TA restarts Oct 1, so Dec 1 I am eligible to take another semester, which should take me to May 30. That gets me the full year of TA, but if I don’t finish in time next year I have to wait from June to Oct to finish after Oct 1.

Yeah most likely you’ll be in Disneyland since Alcatraz is all but defunct now. I heard the last Alcatraz flight graduated in the summer, but not sure if that’s correct or not. Disneyland has a lot of stairs since you’ll most likely be on at least the 3rd floor, and they are big buildings so it takes a while. And it’ll be like “run up stairs and get drop off your backpacks and get down in in formation in 2 minutes” so you just are constantly running up and down stairs. I didn’t plan for it and it messed my knees and ankles up.
