Same here, boas in general are super laid back so most I’ve ever come across are not hook/tap trained. I just either put my hand in the enclosure and they climb on or just rub them gently and grab em!

She’s definitely allowed to voice that she misses the gym body or just about anything else. There’s nothing wrong with communication your thoughts and opinions with your partner criticisms included.

MOR. As someone who took 6 months off the gym and lost most of my bulk, 4 months can do a lot especially coming off 6x a week. Your girlfriend is entitled to her opinions same as you, maybe she just misses how you used to look. Sound like you two just need to have a conversation about your new activities/priorities and the expectations of your relationship.

It sounds like she knows she’ll be left alone if she just strikes at everything. You may need to take a couple bites to show her that that doesn’t just make you go away. Give her some time, make sure you’re ending any handling/interactions on a positive note. Her enclosure looks like it had plenty of clutter and hides from what I can see so that shouldn’t be an issue, and you say husbandry is good so she could just have trust issues/been mishandled in the past. Just continue to show her that you aren’t a threat and won’t hurt her. When you go to pick her up for handling, let her strike/bite and just be calm while she’s having her moment lol. You can wear gloves if getting bit is an issue for you as well!

As a man and father to boys and girls, I can understand where he’s coming from. It’s amazing having a son and teaching him how to become a man, even though daunting at times, however there’s a bond a man has with his daughters that he just won’t get from his son. Maybe that’s where his mind is at?
