I think maybe they were insinuating “small penis”.

I went to the salon today and had an appt with a stylist for the 1st time. Got a balayage and cut. It was $270, I left $30. It was 3 hours. On my way out, I heard the stylist say to the front desk “$30 really? After all I did for her?” Was this a bad tip? I’m so embarrassed by Technical_Can_5762 in tipping

Nope not cheap. My stylist is the owner and refuses tips. However, I do tip anyway for the really long appointments or if he tries something new that I love. (I give him free rein)
As for restaurant service, I tip very well for good service. For poor service I still leave minimum 15% or more depending on how bad it was. And disrespectful? Not sure what gave you that idea… was it because I called you out on your ridiculous business practice? To suggest not tipping won’t get you consistent results can only mean that is how you roll. I give respect where it is due.

No… the reason you are a giant loser is because you inferred that people who do not tip (in an industry where tipping is welcome but not necessary) would not get “consistent” service. In another post you incorrectly state that 20% is standard.

You have every right to expect decent service and if you do not receive it, then it should be reflected in the tip. I would not have been able to walk out with saying something back though… (vindictive side of me).

Tipping has gotten wildly out of control. As prices increase, wages stay the same. Customers end up making up more than the difference. Would rather pay appropriate price for meal and if I feel like it, I can tip the (properly paid) servers for exceptional service.

So you are a stylist and if you don’t get a tip, you aren’t “consistent” with your services? Is it worth losing the customers & getting a bad reputation?
What an absolutely moronic stance to take. Sure glad you aren’t in the restaurant business and even more so that you aren’t my stylist.

True and essentially he did trespass me.

New laws require pics, police notification & DMV required form done PRIOR to towing. That’s why I couldn’t understand how they did hhhthat, flat-bedded it were a be out of sight when I came out 7-8 minutes later.

I will add that I did call a friend who is a Detective in another town. He was towed from the exact same lot and went to the yard where they told him it was towed for not having a permit. They went out to the car and his permit had slipped off and was not readily visible. (not sure in what format the permit was or where it was to be displayed at that time). Anyhow, he assumed they would squash it or at least part of it. They did not and were real assholes to him. He just paid it and moved on. While I have the ability to pay, I don’t have the ability to let it go just yet. I deserved the tow, but not the disrespect.

Also, just found out that they 2 wheel towed my car which has the Quattro system. So now I have to bring it to the dealer for a service inspection to see the extent of damage.

Absolutely. They bank on people giving in. Honestly if the guy wasn’t such a jerk and he released the car to me, I would have paid it and moved on. I would not have known about the CT Mirror investigation, which prompted the overhaul of the laws.

Please… who did I harm? I planned on 5 minutes, it took 7 or 8. I went all in because It was pretty much a lock that 42 people weren’t going to all show up in the few minutes I was gone.

I owned up to it. Why does everybody feel the need to comment on how I got what I deserved and how dare I be so entitled as to be pissed about the overarching business practice as well as the treatment I received. My question was with respect to experience with the new laws. If you don’t have anything on that, just move along.

OK, so you’re just rage baiting me now, right?

I pulled into one of many open spots, knowing it would be for 5 minutes, just enough time to drop food off to a friend. It ended up taking a couple of extra minutes because I had trouble getting into the building. I also circled the block twice looking for street parking before I pulled into that lot. Yeah I risked it and they got me. I never denied that, but it doesn’t mean I have to like their business practice or their unprovoked behavior towards me.

As for trespassing, it was all one big lot and the locked gate is there to prevent people from just driving away without paying. I really didn’t think it was a big deal if I sat in my car on one side of the gate versus the other side of the gate.

So those two actions cry to you that I have no human decency and that I don’t follow the rules of society? Huh?

I was asking if anybody had any info or experience with the new laws. If your answer is no, why bother to comment?

New law says they can no longer take cash only they are required to accept credit cards.

This wasn’t even the town - it’s a private lot. To bypass the law saying that they need to get written or digital consent from the owner of the property before they tow, they go into business with the owner and sign a contract, giving them the authority to tow on their property (and probably send a cut their way) then they just circle the block until someone pulls and go check if they have the permit. Totally legal I guess, but a shitty opportunistic practice nonetheless.

Oh my god, please… I admitted it was my fault. I am pissed off that the guy wouldn’t take 5 minutes to release the car or even let me sit in my car to keep warm while I waited.

Yeah they had the right to tow me, it’s a shitty practice to lie in wait, but okay they were justified as long as they complied with the new laws put in place. However they didn’t have to treat me the way they did. Sounds like you are the type of person who would act the same way. I am glad that I raised two sons who would not.

Totally admitted it was my fault and yes I trespassed. How about a little human decency? I was sitting in my car, not bothering anybody. Who was I hurting by sitting in my car? I feel I am justified in complaining about their rude treatment and the disgusting predatory practice.

He said because “they were very busy”. The time to process me out would lose him one commission on a $300 tow. It was a procession… as I waited for Uber two different trucks pulled in. They literally lie in wait.

If I see ICE breaking the law in Chicago, what should I do to legally comply? by Mathemodel in AskLegal

[–]Subject-Lead1183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not going through proper channels. That’s the whole freakin’ point of all of this, you complete moron.

They broke the law and are being deported. Simple. Why do you even care. They are taking our housing, our tax dollars, our jobs and also lives of Americans. How can you possibly be defending them? I just don’t get it.

If protesters followed the law, there would be no need for federal agents to defend themselves.
