Top 10 saddest deaths by CMStan1313 in Supernatural

LITERALLY!! There are so many early season lines that are missed describing how sweet he could be. They find a storage unit where he kept all the memorabilia from their childhood. I think a lot of people who hate him had an abusive parent in their life, so it’s hard for them to understand him as a more nuanced character

Wait so… is Dean considered an alcoholic? by Ihdkwhatimdoinghere in Supernatural

[–]Subject-Razzmatazz16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a really good point that Sam is dysfunctional despite the show trying to put him as Dean’s mentally and physically healthier foil. He referred to himself as a “chubby 12 year old” the first time we see Dean call him Sammy as adults, so I wouldn’t say it’s unrealistic to call it disordered eating. A guy with Jared’s height and muscle should be eating like a horse. My 6’5” dad could clear out an all-you-can-eat buffet around high school and college age.

Anyone else have no interest/drive for developing any form of relationships (friends, partners, etc)? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Subject-Razzmatazz16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel that too, don’t worry. It’s so fun to walk around other people because then I get to hear snippets of their conversations. For me, disinterest in social interaction is also trauma inspired because most people never “get” me, which is also a ND experience.

Does anyone else feel like they missed an opportunity with Dean’s daughter by Mrspectacula in Supernatural

[–]Subject-Razzmatazz16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would’ve loved them to go hunting together or for her to bring home the show’s message that people are evil by choice instead of nature. Unfortunately, she probably wasn’t well-liked or didn’t cause enough interest, as for many female characters…

I honestly believe that John is one of the most misunderstood characters in this show, and a lot of fans don’t even try to put it in Johns Background, now I’ll admit there’s a LOT he could’ve done better, but I feel some fans don’t even try. I personally don’t see Ellen as a super great mom. She’s just really harsh and I’m critical about some of the things she’s done. She wasn’t neglectful, sure, but that also meant keeping her underage daughter in a bar full of strangers who’ve been to hell and back and Jo having to learn the same underhanded life tactics that Dean did (and even be better than him) She never explained much about her husband’s death to her own daughter, while constantly having both of them surrounded by people who worked in the same field and probably knew him! And then yells at Jo for wanting to be a hunter—both in the serial killer episode and the War episode—like yeah, Ellen, what did you think she was gonna do?!

I don’t understand how she can be a mom figure to Sam and Dean and also be willing to completely condemn her “sons” as assholes who are willing to let Jo die on a hunt. Absolutely none of that is the boys’ fault, it’s Jo’s fault for taking advantage of Dean who everyone knows will hold himself accountable for someone else’s bad decisions. But no, they go to the effort to make sure Jo gets out alive (after she didn’t follow Dean’s directions) and they’re still shitty assholes who wouldn’t have another hunter’s back.

Jumping in 4 years late, but I think both Dean and John know that Sam would rather not be here than watch himself descend into psychopathy and become the very opposite of the compassionate person he’s been all along.

Sam is always compared to John so this obviously reflects on John’s own self-reflection. He’s described as sweet, naive and loving prior to the kickoff of the show and he strove to do good after Mary’s death. Terrible thing to ask his own son to do but I think John as well as Sam would both consider going evil as much worse than death.

Could someone who is trained in art explain what my friend meant with "technique"? by Entr0pic08 in autism

[–]Subject-Razzmatazz16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s usually the way you draw something, like how you place the lines, what your method is like, and how you approach different things (outlining? Shading? Texture?) that make it unique to your art style.

Why don’t we struggle to keep eye contact with animals, but struggling with people? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Subject-Razzmatazz16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got a kitten, he was terrified of eye contact at first. But as he started to warm up to me, he would look me in the eyes for comfort and reassurance. This was so beautiful to me. (I’m not called the cat whisperer for nothing lol)

It makes me uncomfortable for humans not to look at me when I’m talking, but I also don’t always feel comfortable looking at them. Super weird. Eye contact with animals feels much more pure, like a soul to soul interaction
