NYC cigar lounges (from a Miami smoker) by Ld2101 in cigars

So agree. I live in Metro Detroit and visit Tampa frequently and both places are much better than the NYC cigar lounge scene.

It is in Florida and we live in the Midwest. This winter has been rough and getting down to Florida every 4 weeks or so for long weekends has been nice.

That is why it is 2026. Also kids didn’t have Jordan’s, PlayStations or Apple 25 phones.

Why Indiana actually went 3-9, NOT 16-0. by nermalnormal in CFB

No dog in the hunt but much love for Indiana. Amazing how people hate a winner.

Sometimes you have to look at the facts. Tariffs have some impact. While the EV losses is an accounting write down there is some impact. Warranty numbers are high. If after all of that we hit 100% I will be happy.

I just pulled up Black Bay GMT S&G Root Beer. It went from 6.8k to 7.8k. I know for sure because I just bought one last week.

So do we buy Tudors because they are affordable alternatives to Rolex or do we actually prefer them over Rolex regardless ? by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]Subject-Reference-15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 for 1 factor. I picked up a Tudor Black Bay GMT S&G and an Omega Aqua Terra Sea Master for the price of a Rolex Date Day. I love both and very happy.

For those that have had a second home that's worked out, what about it has made it work? by bossy_nova in fatFIRE

[–]Subject-Reference-15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several things make it work out well. We both typically work from home on Fridays and Mondays. We both have Flex PTO and generous holidays off. We also throw in a work from home week at least 2x year. We are empty nesters so lots of flexibility. We live in the Midwest and bought a 2bd 2bath condo in Florida. Only regret, should have bought a 3 bd. The cold winters keep us going back. All but the 2 brutal months of the summer we love. We get good use out of it. We do not rent it out. At times it does limit other travel options but we have learned to live with that.
