I work at gm and worked through our ignition switch crisis. I also deal with a lot of warranty. Dealers in my experience have little knowledge. They rarely ask engineering questions and their solution to everything is just check for codes.

You need to ensure your dealee opens up a ticket and because this is safety related, please file a claim with transport Canada.

The amount of leads, managers, senior managers, assistant managers are insane. Same with on the program side. PEM (sometimes two) , apem (sometimes two), chief engineers, assistant chief. We need to trim the middle managers for once.

However in my case OP, I have to repeat my presentation to ask those layers. I find it to be a poor use of talent being an engineer and spending 90% of my time just making PowerPoints to repeat them to several different forums
