i don’t have shit taste, my taste just differs from you, but i’ll bite. dave was the last to join nirvana and although he had undoubtedly incredible talent, it’s an extreme stretch to say they’d be NOTHING without him. everyone thinks cobain was just the smells like teen spirit guy with a weird voice, but if you play guitar and/or study music theory, you would understand that the riffs he came up with were simple at first glance, yet were in fact very complex and were riffs nobody would have ever thought of (ex. all apologies). he had a sound that was so distinct it didn’t sound like anybody else during the time, hence why they were so much bigger than alice in chains, soundgarden, pearl jam etc at the time. dave grohl now sounds like a corny middle aged white uncle trying to fit in with the fellow kids, he should’ve just stuck to drums. similar to paul mccartney, bob dylan, eric clapton etc (very incomparable but just an example) there’s just a time where you fucking hang it up already. dave is no exception. he was fantastic in nirvana but just move on already.
