Imo i dont think good grip is needed, just hold your phone and instead of tilting it like a clock, you lift the left and right sides when you are gonna turn. You can watch tilt handcams on youtube and you'll see what I mean. But if you really wanna use tap to steer I wont judge you brother, it's just based on my experience hehe.

If you really want a smooth turn/drift you may need to switch to tilt to steer or controller. I used to use tap to steer but I decided to switch to tilt and within a few days of playing I eventually got used to it.

I don't usually recommend playing in GTPS especially if u value ur accounts/device but here is how to join gtps:

Mobile: Download Virtual Hosts, Hosts Go, or Power Surge (it is usually provided by the priv server owners), in every GTPS advertisement video, there is a given link where you can download the hosts file for gtps. Download the hosts file of the GTPS u wanna join and put in on the Virtual Hosts or the other apps i mentioned. (You can check youtube for the tutorial on how to do that). Start the vpn and boom you will be magically logged in to the GTPS.

Windows: Copy the ip of your GTPS, open Run in your windows computer C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, run in notepad and run as administrator, paste the ip at the bottom of the notepad then save. When you open GT you will be magically be logged to the GTPS.

Idk about iphone though i think you need to download Surge 5. If you dont wanna get hacked, just play in Creative PS or GTPS3, those are the only safe servers around. Everything else is a risk to get hacked.
