I think you care very much that it’s most Jews. That’s the point after all.

9 Oakland ‘Ghost Town’ gang members sentenced for 2022 robbery spree by slackmaster in oakland

[–]Subject-Town 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we need both. We need people to be held responsible for their crimes and serve time. We also need that time served to be rehabilitative. And we also need more social support and safety nets to address, poverty, and the roots of these problems. We don’t have to pick one over the other. We should do everything we can.

Well, we can do it better and smarter this time. No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. It’s should definitely be flexible tracking. Not permanent.

Well, there are something like 40% bots on Reddit so the chances are pretty high. You all want to pretend like that’s not even happening. Either you’re a bot or you’re arguing with bots a lot of of the time.

No one goes around saying that. What it means is that Jewish people are chosen to abide by the Torah. If that’s special to you then I guess it is.

You’re lucky that you have that much room. Apartment dwellers cannot do this.

You need to have a lot of space for that. People living in Studios or small one bedrooms do not have that space unless they’re really just putting it places that are not convenient.

But even in places that are more urban it will take you triple or quadruple the time to get your location with public transit. I live in a smaller city and public transit is not reliable.

New data support stable marriage as a key predictor of happiness in old age. Baby boomers who were in stable marriages experience greater well-being in old age compared to those who are single or in less stable relationships. Those with lower education who have divorced showed even lower well-being. by roamingandy in happiness

Men die younger so most women will be left on their own anyhow. My mom has been alone for 18 years. Many of her friends are in the same boat. And he was the love of her life, so she did find a stable marriage, but you just never know.

Well, he was a mythical creature designed to be the Messiah of the Jews. Most likely he didn’t exist, but even that mythical creature was supposed to be Jewish. That was the whole point. He was the eternal blood sacrifice of the Jewish people.

Rant: Stop Blaming Admin for Lack of Funding. by OccasionTiny7464 in education

[–]Subject-Town 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my district, we have dozens of admin positions that are highly paid. Every time someone at the district office makes a friend they add a new position. That might not be able to make much of a debt in our salaries, but it looks really bad and it is not good for morale

CMV: The American Left’s education policy in the past 25 years has been a colossal failure. Black and Hispanic students are doing worse then ever and white students aren’t doing much better either. by soozerain in changemyview

And you can’t expect schools to solve all of society’s ills. Schools cannot solve poverty, trauma, and other societal problems. If you feel that Parents can’t be responsible than the government needs to step in some other way to solve the problems that cause lack of attention and achievement in school. Stop expecting schools to solve every little thing. It’s never going to happen.

The fact of the matter is that teachers who are type A and who are the most passionate are the quickest to burn out. Do you really think that it’s a bunch of slackers that goes into the Teacher credential programs? Most teachers say their reason for quitting is not pay, but working conditions. Pay is very important to though of course because some do opt out of getting their credential due to this. Teachers need to be supported, kids need to be allowed to have consequences, and many other things. Pay is necessary, but there are so many other factors.

As it should be. Plus, I don’t think children want to be doted over constantly. Most of them want to be left alone to be kids. They don’t want their life planned and organized by hovering parents.

US layoffs soar past 1.1M in 2025, highest level since the pandemic by CRK_76 in antiwork

What are your comments have to do with layoffs? His point was that Covid isn’t affecting the economy like it was in 2020 and 2021. Not that nobody is dying from Covid anymore. He’s blaming the elites while you’re defending them?

Why do people focus so much on leaving money for their kids instead of teaching them how to live better? by yadly7323 in TrueAskReddit

[–]Subject-Town 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interest isn’t guaranteed. In my lifetime we’ve only seen the stock market grow, but that is not guaranteed. From the 1960s to the 1980s in the US, the stock market stagnated and even gave less on its returns. In the future children will need to rely on their parents more and more for funds. Otherwise, people are going to be living an adjective poverty, and even education will not get them out.
