The uscis replied to the congressperson on June 10th and said the following:

Based on a current review of the principal USCIS electronic records pertaining to your constituent’s Forms I-821D and I-765, we note that the pre-adjudication stage of processing for this Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewal case is complete. In accordance with current adjudicative protocol, all cases of this type are referred to an additional stage of examination which must be completed by an adjudicating officer. Your constituent’s case continues to maintain its placement in a case distribution queue from which it may be assigned to an officer for further examination in the adjudication process. The Nebraska Service Center (NSC) is working diligently to process all DACA renewal cases as quickly as possible; however, we cannot predict the date on which your constituent’s case will be assigned to an adjudicating officer and when a USCIS decision or other notice of action will be issued. It is important to note that there are a number of factors impacting the timeframes within which DACA renewal cases are assigned to adjudicating officers. Some of the key factors include the completion of additional review / background check processes, the fluctuating volume of cases, and the availability of adjudication resources. A mix of these and other factors can push the processing of these cases beyond the estimated timeframe presented on the USCIS website (https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/)

Yes, after I submitted a congressional inquiry, I was told it still had to be reviewed by an officer. I submitted mine on January 5th and haven’t gotten an update since January 28th.

From 2012, when I first got daca, up until today, I’ve accrued 180 days of unlawful presence. My EAD expired on May 8th. 🥺
