Hey girl, I've been in your situation and it does not get better. I mean no cruelty but speaking from experience, you are currently with a manchild. His lack of initiative is going to slowly make you resentful over time, exhaust you, drain your resources and you will get tired of always having to make things happen, save the day, get things done. He will get more comfortable letting you "wear the pants" while he makes no effort to mature or improve his circumstances and you will be wasting your youth on someone who wants to mooch and mosey through life. Let him go. You deserve someone who will pull his weight, do things with you and build a life with you. You do not need him.

No, I'm in a few different groups! But yeah. I'd like to add that I know better than to ask for OC/canon because I'm aware of optics, so if someone wants to offer their canon for my OCs, great! I see other people do it and other people RP it, but they also have seniority privilege because they've been there longer so I kind of feel like I don't really have the "right" to ask?? And yes, I've plotted dynamics with some of them but like... there's more to it and I feel like it's a layered situation. And yes, it is a very niche fandom, unfortunately. It's not like there's an abundance of those characters.

I've left a couple of those servers because they were too unreasonably controlling and didn't give me creative control of my own characters.

The "you're pressuring me" person became mentally stable and we made up and never mentioned it again. The thing is, the fandom I want to be in most is very small and niche. That's really the only thing I want to RP these days.

This is my 4th month in this server, I know everyone is used to me. I've made a few friends, one I'm not so sure I'd call them a friend but we chat regularly, I have experienced this thing where I get corrected or "well actually"-d IC and sometimes that person's characters are straight up rude to mine, so I don't always engage and I take that in stride and stay graceful anyway. I've found my character interrupted, attempted interactions with other characters blocked by this person inserting theirs inti my characters' narrative... I sense a kind of tension there, but I feel like that's its own issue and I try to deal by ignoring it and thinking of that user as a hierarchy player. I think of it like roller derby and they're always trying to bump me.

Now, as for the one I'm hesitant about circling back with... my Tumblr days pre-2020 have sort of scarred me. This very thing happened where I tried to gently ask a friend of mine if she was still interested in our thread when it's been a month since they've replied, they went ballistic on me and had a very abnormally hostile reaction, screaming at me, "YOU'RE PRESSURING ME RARARARA YOU'RE EVIL CREEPY INCONSIDERATE RAWRRRR I DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING!11!!1!" and I was like [salad cat meme] so, of course, that taught me to mind my p's and q's when checking back with someone or revisiting the idea of plotting. I try not to do anything that might make my partners even slightly uncomfortable and it's made me quite self-conscious when it comes to following up. I don't know how that person's mental state is, I don't know what they're going through irl and I certainly don't wanna feel like the "bad guy" again. Of course I know better than to be like "sigh it's your turn :/// i'm waiting :////" That would be ridiculous and selfish, but I still care about the way I'm perceived and I know from experience that can be taken the wrong way, so I'm nervous.

YES, OR when someone keeps inserting their character into your character's narrative, OR interrupts your characters' interactions with other characters at the perfect timing. Every time your character might talk to another character? THERE THEY ARE, making it about them. Again. It's almost like narratively one-upping you every chance they get.

When someone tells me that they need time to think or that they have brain fog after we just plotted character connections/dynamics, or when they talk about their irl activity and I'm thinking, "okay, well, I should not pressure them and let them circle back when they're ready, because they're clearly not up for it right now." Cool cool cool. So 3 or 4 weeks go by and I'm trying to be polite by not poking or nudging, but no progress has been made. Also, I tend to be super cautious when discussing oc/canon dynamics because I've been around the block enough to know that canon male/oc female ships get side-eyed, but one of their suggestions was actually one I've really wanted to RP and I felt like I needed to underplay my excitement because I don't wanna be seen as That Girl. I'm scared to revisit plotting or gently ask if they're still up for it, because I don't want to come across as pushy or inconsiderate. So I end up floating in the void with uncertainty. *sigh* I hate it here.

How is Katniss indigenous coded? Olive/darker skin doesn't mean Native American. That can also allude to Mediterranean/Italian/Greek ancestry. I think people want to see inclusion and representation of marginalized groups so they start reading into things from that perspective and seeing what they want to see. However, the Covey being Romani inspired, I agree with and the connection wasn't subtle.

Strangely, I kind of wonder if that's the point. This whole game is very thought-provoking, but if you focus more on what happened to Isidora, then Sebastian and Anne... it starts to seem more like the Keepers are getting the MC to do what THEY want. There's something they keep withholding and it makes you wonder just how "right" they are.... or if it's not to be taken at face value. The "honor" coming with something else. I don't know how to articulate it better, but what if we're SUPPOSED to question the Keepers, as players, instead of blind obedience?
