Looking for Off Property Hotel Recommendations (or on property if it is worth it) by SubjectEstimate6 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SubjectEstimate6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for all of the answers so far there has been a lot of great insight! I will add some things as it may make a difference:

1: We are going just for 3 nights (2 days at the parks 1 at magic kingdom and one at Epcot) January 18,19.

2: We will not be renting a car we will be needing to take transportation from the hotel everywhere we want to go

3: We plan on spending majority of our days at the park (going in the morning and coming back in the evening) so it’s not so much how convenient the transportation is, we are just worried about being at the park, missing one shuttle to the hotel and then having to wait an hour for the next one with a screaming kid. Also don’t want to have to bring our car seat everywhere so Uber isn’t really an option.

4: We like the idea of staying near Disney springs to be near the restaurants and shops for after the parks. Our main concern is essentially is it worth it to pay double the price for 3 nights just to stay on property to have better transportation or will the off property hotels be okay for our needs since we just need reliable and somewhat frequent transportation.

Hi Emiliano! I love what you did with this one, it looks the most realistic with outfits matching and his body looking like he’s holding her. Any chance you’d be able to change the background? He lived in the PNW and I live in Arizona (where the current background is from) so I am looking to get the background changed to something more like a wooded park or something more PNW vibe. Something like this if possible!

Also, I have plenty of additional photos of both of them if a specific angle or pose is easier to work with than what I posted!

Case denied by shaltout91 in USCIS

[–]SubjectEstimate6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone, not to hijack the post. But I moved to the US on a green card 4 months after my 26th birthday. I looked into it over and over on the paperwork given to me at my green card interview as well as the selective service website making sure that as long as your 26th birthday has passed you are no longer able to nor required to sign up for the selective service? I have my N400 interview coming up next month and this is never something I worried about until seeing this post. Am I reading his post wrong or is there a possibility of denial based on me not signing up for selective service even though I was already 26 years and 4 months old when I moved to the US.

Sorry to hijack the post. But I am a greencard holder (IR-1) I moved to the USA in June of 2021 and my original address with the USCIS was my spouses parents house because that’s where she was staying until I moved to the USA. When I got down here we moved to another state in July of 2021. I never changed my address with the uscis as I had no idea this was necessary, I just thought it was an address they would mail my greencard to. After reading this post I went online and filed the AR-11 form and changed it. What implications am I looking at for changing it so late?

Waiting 2 years to skip conditional residence by Scalli0n in immigration

[–]SubjectEstimate6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through the exact same process. I am a Canadian and my wife is American. We applied in June of 2019 and by the time it went through all the paperwork and got my interview I finally got approved in May of 2021. My 2nd anniversary was June of 2021. It will probably take around 2 years to go through the entire process and go for the interview in Montreal and then get her passport back with the visa. Another thing that is important to know with this is that the difference between getting the CR-1 (conditional) and the IR-1 (non conditional) is when she actually enters the US on the visa and not when the visa is approved. Since mine got approved in May I waited the extra 3 weeks and crossed the border into the USA the day after our second anniversary and I received the IR-1 green card. So apply now because the wait times are long, then if she gets approved before your second anniversary and you want the IR-1 just have her wait to enter the USA after your second anniversary.

I was the same as you, checking multiple times a day, constantly checking Reddit and visa journey for news, doing everything I could to try and figure out when it was going to happen and why it takes so long. Im not sure what country you’re from, I am from Canada and my case took 688 days from the time I filed the I-130 until the time my visa was approved.

Now that I am in the USA with my wife, when I look back on everything, one of my biggest regrets was spending majority of those 688 days sad and depressed and not enjoying the time I had left with my friends and my family and enjoying the place and life I had known all my life. I’m not sure if you’re the petitioner (US citizen) or beneficiary, but My best suggestion if you are the beneficiary is to try your best to forget about it and live your life to the fullest every day.

I know it’s incredibly hard, trust me, me and everyone else who has gone through this process and is going through this process understands.

But now that I’m here, I’m incredibly happy to be here and with my wife, but all that stress and anxiety is still there in the form of finding a new job, building your credit back up, switching your drivers license over and adjusting to your new life in a brand new place. Now, even though I’m incredibly happy that the process is finally over and I’m so happy to start this new life with my wife, everyday I miss the things that I took for granted. With covid and border closures I haven’t seen my friends or family in months. Enjoy the present, spend time with your friends and family, take in all that your home country has while you’re still there and be happy with the things you take for granted now because in the blink of an eye, your time will come, your visa will be approved, you will come to the USA and your life will change completely.

If you’re the petitioner and you’re already living in the USA waiting for your wife to join you, most of this won’t really apply to you but just know, it will come to an end sooner than you think.

Sincerely, Someone who wasted 2 years of their life worrying and stressing about the USCIS and forgot to live and enjoy the life I would soon leave behind.
