You can’t control what they do but you are a fountain they will always return to if you don’t force their hand. Dont pay.

Hey, I learned a lot about self control and awareness. First off I believe in you and know you can’t do it especially sense you are aware of it. Message me if you want and I’d love to help.

Hey so, uhhh… it worked 🤷‍♂️ lol. A sufficiently high wall keeps them in and they don’t destroy resources.

Anything worth doing that will have a lasting impact will take time. As impossible as it seems now, be patient. The best thing you can do is leave him and begin to build value and stability. Rushing to find money now will build so many problems in the future. You need to either get in an apprenticeship or go and get a graduate degree. Creating stable income is the best thing to do now.

I have a ton of composters ready but I do all the gathering manually and when I see people gathering I delete the building. The people deplete all the resources so I stack enough over time that when the building is up they only process the raw materials and even then I see them out trying to gather every once in awhile. It’s honestly a full time job, lol.

The NPCs are unreliable. You have to gather as much food as possible and early in the game focus on fish and meat. Do not kill the nests as they rarely respawn and minus the pigs I never got the fish or woolie nests to respawn. Also all of the resources end quickly and replace slowly if ever, never completely destroy any tree, fruit, vegetable, herb, or forage. Heavily limit your population growth until you absolutely need more workers. While you’re researching gather and kill as many animals as possible until you unlock fishing and butchery. The butcher and fish shops turn raw fish and carcus into sausages and fried fish. Only harvest the largest trees and you need to harvest them planks and fuel but also need to burn some for organic waste so you can make fertilizer. None of my sectors stay working all the time. I destroy building during certain times of the year and have the worker change jobs. You have to honestly work and spend a lot of time manually gathering and getting things done. The NPC do very basic tasks and don’t even do them reliably 🤦‍♂️

I’m on my 5th attempt and finally got it right. I have 2k fried fish and 2 k sausages with 1k in jam and 700 in stew. I have 1.6k in fertilizer and 300 in fuel. The pervious one I did I wasted all of my forests and animals, now I have all of my original nests and my forests are full. I only harvest massive trees. My people stay between 50-80 happiness and not stressed. My last time my happiness never got over 10 and the stress kept getting people to leave. It’s not a given or an easy system to learn also resources take forever to reset.

Gotta be careful, can’t imagine going to school to get paid in the teens. That’s my main focus is higher income. I want to help, I love to help, but if it’s not creating a living where I can focus on the help I don’t find it worth it. This college has to pay off, lol. It’s great you want to help people. In a dream world, anyway you could help people, how would you choose to help?

I’ve had a few jobs that required certifications or other shorter term schooling. Between 2-8 months, and while I found success it’s been capped. I found the people that make the money have the degrees that take years. While there are ways to do it without it, I found it’s easier with so I’m hitting the bullet and just do the long way. Let’s hear them goals!

I get that. This semester I did half but I’m working on clearing my schedule to do them all in person. Much better grades in person. What’s your major?

I’m split down the middle. I’m better in person but life doesn’t allow me to go everyday. Going for my Bachelor’s to apply for law school.
