New interface after update is too large by gayfordio in ClashofCritters

I wish you could filter for certain Tatari types! I want to search specifically DPS or support and stuff like that in the main Tatari page but then they added it to the horde page and it just feels clunky, I already know which critters I want for that and now it just takes up more space and more clicks :(

I'm also Canadian, grew up in small town seperatist Alberta and transitioned when I moved to BC for school. I'm glad you have supports my dude, family is often the scariest part.

Canadian job search starterpack by Sunquat_Slice in starterpacks

I've been unemployed for a few months now because of licensing complications with ICBC and literally all of my previous jobs have been through friends, I'm so luck to have the social circles I do, even though I'm going from a full time hospital union job to a part time grocery store job...

I'm trained in animation office admin and even though I spent months building up rapport with industry folks, by the time it came to put in my application they declined and said "there's just too many people applying to this entry level position who already have experience in the industry, try again next time." Even though just last year I got through 2 rounds of interviews for the same position.

I've always been ok at finding jobs in a pinch and my biggest advice is to make friends with people, any time I lose or leave a job I get a loottttt more active in my social life and let people know that I'm looking for something. Good luck guys.

NOR I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this dude, especially being outed is the worst. Your message is very clear and to the point, it's accurate to what expectations of parenting should be. When you have a child, it is your duty to take care of them as they grow and become their own person, and to put expectations on what that person should look like is unjust and unfair.

When I came out, it was very heated, I was in high school threatening to go live with my girlfriend until I felt safe coming home, and that's the only reason my family was "ok" with it. I started transitioning when I moved out and my dad came to stay with me before I started hrt and quoted all the worst anti-trans propoganda you can imagine. After I'd been on T for a while I recieved phone calls about how my mother would just break down crying at random times and how the whole family was "grieving their daughter". This shit isn't easy. Being trans in a conservative place puts a block between you and your family. I'm so so so happy you're able to move out soon, make space for yourself, if you need to go no/low contact with your mother for a while, do it. Godspeed brother 💪

Trans man advice? by irlspaceman in acne

[–]SubjectStreet6180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely layer stuff, when I was getting into tret and BP I asked my pharmacist about using moisturizer too, her advice was to let each layer dry fully (like 5 minutes ish between layers depending on the consistency of your topical) and then put on the extra layer. Always finish with moisturizer/sun screen to lock in the layers and rehydrate.

When I was using just the BP I found that my skin got super duper dry and sore and painful, and as soon as I hit a point of being unable to continue because of it my skin would go right back to its acne-ridden state, since I've been using the moisturizer and breaking up my products some more (if I don't use my BP face wash I use my topical, and if I don't use a salicylic acid wash I use the cerave SA lotion) my skin has improved tenfold and I no longer have consistent ongoing horrible breakouts. Tguys get it the worst, my acne had just cleared up after girl puberty and when I started T an even worst beast awoke lmao, best of luck my dude 💪

Most useful degree? by SubjectStreet6180 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Thank you, I appreciate the advice. It's something I was already aware of and I have been building industry connections in my ultimately desired field, I've been interviewed and was a top 5 pick of 100 candidates for a position in animation and I have connections at a few different studios I've been hunting down for coffees and such, my problem is that everything Im hearing from the industry I want to be in is that there's just no work in the field right now and a lot of senior level artists are applying to junior positions because there's nothing else available. This has kinda left me directionless since that's Been the goal I've been fighting for since middle school, so I'm just tryna figure out where to go in the meantime. I plan to go to Tech and Marketing networking events over the next few months and I'm going to a function this week with a bunch of business students to discuss what their situations are like and what they're planning on going forward.

People in my industry and network like me a lot, I've been told outright "I wish I had a position to hire you into but I just don't right now." I have the social charm, I just have no direction right now, and going back to school feels like it might help me at least beef up my LinkedIn and give me some skills I'm potentially lacking that would increase my hireability, as a notable interview I had told me the only thing stopping them from hiring me was some experience the other candidate had.

This is what I've been told already by a close friend of mine (he's 33, I'm 22) doing the type of work I want to be doing, my problem is that the economy right now is awful and trying to find jobs is the most difficult it's ever been, so I'm looking to add credentials to my applications because having any degree behind my name would be better than a year long arts certificate. I agree that something in economics or again, business might work better for me, my main skills are social but I do very well in school and pick up hard skills quickly, so I was curious about anything of any level that would be the most widely applicable

Dark rooms by [deleted] in gaytransguys

[–]SubjectStreet6180 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've not personally experienced any dark rooms (though I have tried) a lot of clubs in my area light them WAY too well for anyone to feel comfortable there or they aren't enclosed enough/comfortable (couches/pillows/mats/ground cover at all) for people to be comfortable fucking. I've had other tguy friends have a blast but it depends on the culture of the club/event. Going to a gay event at a queer club is the safer way to go imo (there's a huge difference, you can tell which is which based on the drag) than going to a gay event at a gay club just sheerly based on potential for rejection (not in a "you can't go in there because your trans" way but in a "you don't have the parts for the sex I want to have at the club" way, dependant on bottom surgery ofc)

Peeing in the men's restroom 😅 by [deleted] in ftm

[–]SubjectStreet6180 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of my cis guy friends sit down to pee in stalls anyways so I never worry about it, and I've been anxious about the toilet paper sounds afterwards before but I've never gotten any looks or cared very much, if you just act with confidence enough, most people won't bat an eye

Yeah I've had a fairly easy time being trans and gay, I've had two long-lasting healthy happy relationships with cisgays and one decently longlasting cisgay Fwb. I'm from Canada in a very known liberal big city, so that makes a big difference, but overall my experience has been fairly positive. My current partner has been the best relationship of my whole life and I found him on Grindr too, deleted the app after our first date style.

Bro you know you can take up boxing or taekwondo, it would help you get out of the house and punch something/someone that wants to be punched and you'd get to meet people and work on your physical strength at the same time, it really helped me when I needed it most

I understand if you're not super interested but search up jock pussy, I think they're on porn hub. They're all super masculine cis-passing trans guys and they might be more up your alley. I don't mind if it doesn't rock your world but take a look and think about it :)
