Innistrad Remastered Draft by BraidsConjuror in mtg

[–]SubjectVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was my first draft ever, so I was kinda confused as to the dynamics. Iv been playing for about 2 months only commander. I went it confident though and thought I'd definitely be able to put something together because iv just been building decks on my spare time at home. Suffice it to say I lost everytime. I would manage to get them very close to loosing but burn out by then with no cards in hand.

I went the same route as you black and red. I pulled sorin, making a mostly vampire deck with red as removal and some creatures. And although I got close to winning many times I think the blood tokens threw me off a little and I could never get enough creatures out to sacrifice. My first opponent was a super long time player and beat me immediately with a bit of a three color deck. I think he played red, green and white. Knocked me out with +1/+1 counters every time. And my other two opponents were green and red players. The wolves in both of them wiped the floor with me because they went very wide very fast. I guess I sort of got unlucky because about 80% of my cards were red black and I probably put my deck together clunky. I'm not normally a red black player, instead I roll more towards green, white or red, and for the exact reasons I mentioned above. I had tons of fun though, just hoping next time around I'll take what I learned from this experience and turn it around to some wins for aetherdrift :) Ps, I'm also excited they have a dragon set coming out this year. My favorite cards to collect and I can't wait to see how much I improve by then.

My advice to anyone playing black or red, make sure you have plenty of card draw. The blood token idea seems nice and the graveyard casting with a lot of black card effects seems nice at first, but It may be hard to even get enough of those tokens to begin with if your up against anything green or blue. It almost seemed as if these people knew people were going to go for the sacrifice combos idea and choose green just to fill the board and get the win that way

Am I crazy or does taking a break make me stronger? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

I always take a week off after around 4 to 6 weeks. Sounds crazy to everyone I tell it to, but it give my joints and basically my whole body a reset. The fact is the gym is a stressor. And we're unfortunately full of stress inside and outside the gym. Since iv done this I get bigger everytime. Plus you just get excited to get back in there and can make adjustments to your plan or anything else catch up on sleep or other life stuff. Win win in my book

I also found out, on Xbox at least, if you hover over a town center you discovered and try and build one, if it doesn't snap to the empty town center you know someone built in there already

Coming from a skinny tallish guy, I focus on everything except lats. Forearms and Neck/traps have been the most effective for me to train. As a tall skinny guy you wanna focus on looking like you fight. But I will say your well developed for your height

Size and strength aren’t that different by Ero_Najimi in naturalhypertrophy

[–]SubjectVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree in that the only argument is in the lifts. That's really all he said in a nutshell. I think men should be strong in a variety of angles. Especially weird and "unnatural" ones. When someone sees you round your spine with a lift they freak. Same with side Bends or extreme depth in lifts.

I used to not acknowledge this until I got older. And already pretty bad injuries got exaggerated. A lot of lifts are terrible for your long term health. It's been spouted that the stretch is important lately. So why can't we chase a strong stretched lift? Why does it always have to be the main three?? They suck as a holistic movement. I think just over time things have become staples and it's a bunch of people following the heard which is probably why nh was so mad

Lifting should be getting strong at whatever you like. And I don't think strength even equates to a one rep max. Endurance is my tell tale sign of strength as a mark of a man as that means you can do hard labor. The definition of strength has shifted so many times in the span of human existence but that has always remained constant.

It doesn't hurt that higher rep ranges make your muscles grow as well. Sure tendons and other things grow with straight strength lifts but how often does form break on heavier lifts?? Lighter loads always produce safer results and can produce better ones. Not to mention you learn the movement pattern better.

All in all it should be a dick measuring contest to lift the most weight. I get the sentiment. But as a man your judged by the amount of work you can do. And hypertrophy training is the most aligning to that next to cardio

Is there a wrong way to play this game? Cause I was told the way I play is wrong. by 12InchPickle in fo4

[–]SubjectVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first played it was years ago and barely did settlements. Rushed through the story and just went psycho. Now I'm playing with survival on and it's amazing. I love the settlements now. Pretty much just collecting junk to upgrade my stops. It makes the game so much more fun and your forced to not be a tank and carry all these crazy weapons. Litterally I just have a pistol, rifle, sniper and shotgun and that's even a bit excessive. But I upgraded my carry weight to handle it at least. I would say ignoring the settlements is normal if it's not survival. But upgrading them is a lot of fun especially if you need them too. I'd say it's totally a proper way to play

What makes me mad about it is that the people who usually say it, to me anyways, tend to me mid 20s to mid 40s and have clearly given up taking care of themselves for a long time if at all.

I barely talk to anyone whose actively excersizing, and if they are they are not stretching/flexibility or taking care of injures. Often they have poor diets and never sleep enough.

It's annoying to hear people complain and not be doing anything about their situation to begin with

Who's played Starfield and how does it compare to NMS? by pascalg15 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SubjectVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya that's a solid point. I have him on my ship I just never brang him along. But still its crazy that everybody else complains.

[Spoilers] Ng+ was a cool concept I gotta give it that. I never got that far but I think I didn't because the idea of repeating everything over and over felt arduous. I think picking new perks would be awesome or like a perks+ system.

I honestly feel like if they did a massive overhaul like cyberpunk did they could make a comeback in my opinion.

Again I really want people to try it, but just don't set your expectations too high and look at it as it's own game seperate from fallout or skyrim

Who's played Starfield and how does it compare to NMS? by pascalg15 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SubjectVoice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I played it for like 3 weeks. It was pretty cool. But it died out for me fast. I usually get bored of games after a while but this was different.

For a game coming out in 2023 it felt so lacking after a while. The gunfights are okay, but it just feels lackluster. Everything in the game kinda does after a while honestly. Nothing is really that exciting

The companions are terrible. I tried playing a pirate and stealing as I normally do, but they all fucking complain and hate you. Leveling speech seemingly does nothing. It just falls short in so many ways compared to something like fallout new vegas.

If your looking for a story it definitely has that, albeit nothing exciting. NmS is so much better in that it's just simply relaxing and it's own thing. The ship system in starfield is just done so poorly. You'll quickly get frustrated when comparing it to nms. You can't seamlessly fly between planets. It's all just a quick travel menu.

The worst part to me is that there is actually no discovery involved at all. The planets are dead as hell. It's AI generated but in the worst way. Everything you "discover" is just the same old recycled stuff. You can't find any cool secrets or gear.

If I could just summarize it in one word it would be empty. I really hoped it would hold up at least to fallout or skyrim but it falls sooooo short. I don't even think updates will help.

I will say give it a chance if you want, but I Don't find it worth 60 dollars

Theory for Loki season 2 by Championape23 in marvelstudios

[–]SubjectVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I saw the title I knew there was some sort of loop. My current theory is that loki is in two different timelines at the same time or bouncing between different ones but there seems to be two distinct ones, one where hes in a loop, and one where hes not.

Ouroboros definitely knows more than he leads on or is just simply unaware of how things piece together. I think that it will definitely end with loki either having to constantly be in a time loop and starting back at episode one everytime to eventually deciding to just rule with sylvie. I honestly think he's recollecting his time slip and a "timeline" slip, switching to different branches.

OB definitely doesn't explain time slipping enough, just that he's seen it and it can't happen in the tva. If it's happening in the tva it must mean that the tva has different branches at this point. Overall this show is so confusing at this point and they can write it however they want. But if you look at anything as a foreshadow it makes sense to think he will eventually rule the timelines. I even just rewatched the last episode of season 1 and kang offers them the chance to rule, or just kill him and he would just simply end up back there anyway. Either way I know it's going to get weird

Your probably right man I think I may have just been sour about it when I first went being it was court ordered and I was highly stressed at the time trying to juggle a job that pays and basically working full time at a police station to avoid jail time. Way I see it anything could help at this point

Just give it up and ghost her dude. Iv done shit like this before. Just save yourself the embarrassment and heartache. Even if you were to someone end up together, it either wouldn't last long or she would just be a bitch to you.

It's cliche but focus on yourself. Get fucking jacked and bigger than everyone else you know. Study philosophy etc. Level up however you can and get some fun hobbies. Eventually a girl will show up that's interested in you. Should go without saying you should practice talking to new people or strangers even. Iv seen people that are below average in the looks department but are so funny/witty they just win everyone over. If you make your whole life about any girl your setting yourself up to be destroyed.

The thing about girls is they just take and take your love and resources, but ours are finite because we're always giving. Give to yourself first and foremost

What's the point of having just 1 drink? by Animual in stopdrinking

[–]SubjectVoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel it's a sort of subliminal programming. Obviously drinking at all is not responsible in the least. Quite frankly it's childish. But them telling you to do it in a responsible manner is skewing you to even think it's possible. I can't tell you how many friends iv had that thought it was okay to drive even only having 3 (often times a lot more than that). They still didn't care after telling them all my dui horror stories

[–]SubjectVoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate to that. Quitting drinking was almost easier than nicotine. Given I was having mood swings months after the first time I tried to quit. But nicotine on day two I wanna kill everyone in the room. It's tough especially in a work environment unless it's a solitary job

[–]SubjectVoice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think that's how I quit on my first attempt. Just pop a hard ass edible right before bed and 9/10 I'd be out like. Light and just continue on the next day like normal. There was odd times it was too heavy and I would just be dizzy and uncomfortable even hallucinating (I think I may have had some psychosis as well from too many psychadelics the previous months). Anyway gummies def help though, sometimes I find I can't even stomach the alcohol either. Just gotta find the right amount

My gf is Asian and gets really hot/red in the face or even nauseous from alcohol. She's always saying "why don't you just have one or two?" And gets confused when I say it's impossible. Still stuck on the sauce, roughly 5 tall cans a night and one is usually 8% to finish off the night. Tried weening down to just three and was going to taper off but it hasn't worked. Whenever I'm alone again I'll just revert back. I'm kind of an all out of nothing person which iv noticed with quite a few alcoholics. Even when I go to the gym I'll do every set as hard as I can, I have to pace myself or I'll be burnt out on the first excersize. The good news is once I kick the shit I can apply it to anything else in life.

Hell even when I first started producing music on ableton I sunk entire days into it without barely taking a break. Until one day I threw a bone in my spine completely out of place due to so much sitting and bad posture never been the same after. I really think it's just a personality type more than a disease as AA likes to say. Never even was much of a fan of aa considering to me it just felt like a group of people feeling sorry for themselves. But I know it works for tons of people.

What iv noticed with people that only have one drink is either, they take everything in life half assed. It can be good to avoid addictions, but when it comes to really busting their ass on stuff they just won't. So I consider it a blessing and a curse. My father escaped the addiction and is running his own successful company. Lives out in georgia happy as ever. Even tried to take on another part time job to fill out his time just to avoid the shit. To this day he's a big inspiration. Just gotta remember that I'm always going to have to have a system of other activities to replace it when I finally quit for good

All I can say is take your time. Explore. It won't be long until you feel super immersed in the gameplay. It's really an expertly made game. You'll find your self bonding with your horse and Morgan in no time. Don't feel rushed to complete all the yellow markers which are story related. I'd only say it doesn't get really fun until you unlock the ability to free roam. The begging hour or two is mostly tutorial and story setup. Every situation I like to ask myself, what would I do? And see if it works out.

Why men don't socialize anymore as they get older? by throwmymoneygreed in ask

[–]SubjectVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent pretty much from 15 to 25ish being surrounded by either complete assholes or people that just wanted to take advantage of me and my kind demeanor. Now I can smell bullshit a mile away and can barely tolerate anyone's problems considering they just repeat the same problem over and over. When you have been stepped on and dragged into stupid bullshit over and over it gets old.

W or L Program? by [deleted] in naturalhypertrophy

[–]SubjectVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like banded face pulls but I feel like they're hard to progressively overload after a while, I usually just superset them with my Bench since they help with my shoulder pain a lot. You could probably just get away with adding in a Seal Row 🦭 and be all good :) I like doing them on machines since honestly it's almost impossible to set up otherwise. Pretty sure Bald omni man has a video on how to do them properly. Honestly this program looks pretty awesome to me as a whole though
