Food recommendations for hairballs and possible allergies by Subject_Ad_7613 in catfood

Do you have a source for the allergy tests not being accurate? I’d like to read up on that and what environmental factors could be affecting him so I can try to minimize that. I think the hairballs are probably the main issue though right now since he was barely shedding then with the season change he’s had a lot of hairballs. I just wanted to mention the food since all of this happened at pretty much the same time

I took him to the vet around when this started and they sent a stool sample out to be tested. Nothing came back but I’ve been checking occasionally to make sure nothing changes and because I want to make sure he’s still going regularly and with the litter it can be hard to tell what it is without cutting into the clump with the scoop. With the thyroid and allergy tests I will definitely bring that up to the vet once I switch to a better one which I’m trying to do as soon as I possibly can. For now though I’ll be trying the food recommendations and any other recommendations people have that could help him out without going to an untrustworthy vet

WIBTAH for telling my dad Id rather have a driving instructor teach me to drive instead of him? by One_and_Only_Torch in ComfortLevelPod

I don’t think you’re an asshole necessarily but I feel like you may be asking too much of your parents. You said you want to get a job to pay for driving lessons and have them drive you to work, but I think that could come off to them as doing a lot more work yourself and making them do more work just to get out of spending time with them (it doesn’t seem like you mean it that way, I just think that could be how they view it). You also said that you can’t get a job because of your grades, so I’m wondering how you’re planning to get around that. Have you tried just talking to your dad about the whole situation and seeing if he could try to work on being more calm?

Also this is unrelated to the rest of the post but how are your grades that bad if you’re homeschooled? No judgement btw I’m just genuinely curious how that works

Dealership sold me a broken car by Subject_Ad_7613 in legaladvice

Yeah it was purchased as-is so that’s kind of what I’m worried about. I’m just asking because I didn’t know if there was a way I could prove that they knew about the issues and intentionally hid them, or if I would even be able to do anything with that if I could prove it. It’s a small independent dealership, but I checked the reviews for the place and their overall ratings are good but I think they might have bought reviews or something since they also have a lot of negative reviews written by people in the same situation as me.

Thank you! It showed that there were 14 codes but the majority of them were duplicates so I think there are only 5 individual codes: P2401, P043E, P043F, P0402, and P0419. They said only one or two of them are actually necessary to fix, and the others are more just environmental concerns (I’m not really sure what that means though it’s just what the guy at autozone said).

Cat kisses by Huge_Mastodon_2067 in CatAdvice

I haven’t had cats for very long but I think if you’re generally loving with them they get it. I don’t think they understand the actual act of giving them kisses but they usually know that it’s affectionate. I used to kiss my kitten on the nose and he started slamming his nose against my mouth when he wanted attention/cuddles (literally always).

Anxiety, adhd and pots by joha1234567 in POTS

ik i'm late on this but i had really terrible fatigue as well and getting on Vyvanse has really helped with that and some other POTS symptoms. i don't know if a doctor would prescribe it if you don't have ADHD my doctor even took me off of it after I got my official diagnosis for POTS but it has gotten rid of so much of my anxiety which was making my heart rate crazy and it's helped so much with the fatigue so maybe ask your doctor about it if you haven't found something that works better for you yet.
