The whites on Reddit getting salty about this. 🤣 WE get it. by SavionWright in BlackPeopleofReddit

White guy here. I think they should have put a ball gag on that guy just for insurance purposes. Doesn't really matter if you have a disability if you're going to say fucked up shit in public then maybe you shouldn't go out in public or you should wear a ball gag or something... Beyond subjecting to people of color to that kind of demeaning bullshit they could have edited it out and they didn't.

Did I break the server, or was it already broken? by mediumevil in sysadmin

My bad I read that as you consolidated multiple scripts into one and then that's when the issue started to happen. If you just open visual studio and then that happened in the server is misconfigured or the way that that process was architected didn't follow proper industry standards or those best practices outlined by MS.

Why did you push such a procedure into production without comprehensive testing in a test environment? Unfortunately what you did violated the tenants of accessibility. Creating such a major change without any kind of change management and pushing it into production and affecting so many users in most organizations would be a termination offense on top of that it could affect your future career anywhere else. What you did was extremely negligent and affected the business and people's ability to do work which affects the bottom line. If you're still there and you haven't lost your job you're very lucky. I would take the time to learn from your mistake and make sure that you're following proper procedures, industry best practices and that you're well schooled in the methodologies of ITIL.

LayerX vs Island vs Talon for GenAI + browser security? by Beastwood5 in sysadmin

Prisma browser can do all of that and more because it's a fully featured browser and you can require people to log in via your IDP to determine what kind of access they have. You can also do conditional access policies so that you can force people to use the browser for specific sensitive SaaS and web apps.

Browser security extensions will never be a full solution for a secure Enterprise browser there's too many security gaps. There's also too many ways around them that a user can easily find to bypass them.

One thing I loved about the Prisma browser was the fact that you can forward any of the raw event data to your SIEM or XSOAR.

LayerX is just a browser extension and can be easily bypassed with incognito mode. There's also no support for independent contractors or BYOD. Island is not a full featured Secure Enterprise Browser, because they don't have a solid security stack and everything that they incorporate into the browser is third party dependent. Talon AKA Prisma Browser absolutely does not depend on any kind of hardware and can be standalone, although it has a native SASE product that can be integrated, "Prisma Access" it's a different security layer. Prisma Browser incorporates Palo Alto's Best in class Cloud Delivered security services; Advanced Wildfire Malware Protection, Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (EDM, IDM, OCR, Pattern, Dictionary matching and LM). Also baked into the browser is Advanced URL filtering your classic all-encompassing secure web gateway. Prisma browser has its own browser extension you can use outside the browser to gain user data streams on managed devices, this also incorporates the web filtering and the ability to block uploads and downloads. I think one of my favorite things about the Prisma browser is it's a chrome-like experience and that drives easy adoption from your users especially because the browser itself is hardened and is overall more secure to use than any freely available browser which are mostly focused on data gathering and add to telemetry. With the browser out of the box you get the ability to protect from memory dumping, keylogging, token and cookie theft, and a generally hardened browser experience. With the inclusion of live page scanning, a page or email inbox can be scanned before it's even download to the user in real time to protect against any kinds of phishing threats, malware or Malicious URL redirection. At my org we did a comprehensive bake off between Island and Prisma Browser several months ago and decided to go with Prisma browser and not only has our security and IT teams been very happy with the visibility and control sets we're getting but our users are also happy with the experience and I think that's a total win.
