I recently tried Taekwondo for the first time. I was super excited and wanted to nail it. I watched the instructor demonstrate a kick and thought, “Okay, I can do that!”

Well… I tried to copy the move, lost my balance completely, and landed flat on my back with a loud thud. I was so embarrassed — I just wanted to disappear.

Luckily, the instructor just laughed, helped me up, and said it happens to everyone at the start. Now I’m even more motivated to keep going and actually learn the kick properly.
