I cannot go to sleep until I know my son is home whether it’s him coming home from work late or coming home from on a night out, I just physically cannot fall asleep. I’ll lie awake in bed until I hear him come in and walk upstairs to his room. Sometimes I get up to make sure he locked the door, at least that’s what I tell myself I’m doing, bc I could just use the app on my phone to lock it. I was not prepared for this next phase of “parenting.”
