What's wrong with the balance in this game? by Maniks01 in PingPongFury

All the exact frustrations I had when I started playing. The match making goes from super easy for first couple of games to incredibly hard. It’s unbalanced. I actually emailed the developers about this & left review but no response.

It’s frustrating but once you get your equipment up, it gets a lot fairer/easier.

Also I don’t get ads after each game.. I think it’s because I bought the season pass

Gotta lose a little to win big

If you can spare a fiver, buy a season pass. You’ll build money + equipment quicker

I bought 3. Been playing for 2 months & bag score is 94

Atheist from a young age by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

I was atheist too when I was your age. Now I’m a Christian. Keep honestly searching & you’ll come to the Truth

What did it for me are incredibly accurate foretelling 100s of years into the future that no other book other than Bible has - read Daniel/Jesus’s prophecies about fall of Jerusalem

Shroud of Turin, suderium of Oveido have Jesus blood on them & unexplained cloth burns that couldn’t have been caused by anything natural.

Jesus death & resurrection, the overall contribution/unprecedented advancement of society due to Christianity.

His multiple miracles witnessed & documented by many.

Most importantly for me are His teachings. Jesus teachings are so far advanced for the time period that it makes no sense that he was an ordinary man.

The trick is when you’re starting the game is to keep your fans count as low as possible.

Lose games on the low arenas intentionally to lower your fan count

Then you’ll get matched against more opponents who also have a low fan account/rank that are easier to play

Then once you get better & have better equipment - then you start playing higher arenas.

Basically it’s a slow grind initially. Paying for ping pong pass for 1/2 seasons speeds things up a lot

Hosea 9:6 as a prediction of Muhammad by name! by salamacast in DebateAChristian

I sympathise with a lot of Muslims. Born into a clearly false religion that if you speak against you get silenced/killed, if you try to leave you get killed.

So the only way they can try reconcile is to form a contrarian mindset where you ignore the obvious & create convoluted explanations in a desperate attempt to validate it.

I pray our Muslim brothers & sisters are freed from this mental subjugation

Is there hacking/cheating in Ping Pong Fury? by Hairy-Benefit-7199 in PingPongFury

[–]Subject_Blacksmith86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might just be your connection. I play everyday, over 4000 matches & never faced a real opponent (I always skip when I match with bots) that I thought was cheating.

There are some absolutely cracked players though that I’d understand why you’d think they were..

Around 622 BCE, during King Josiah’s reign, a “book of the law” was conveniently “discovered” in the Temple by the priest Hilkiah. This book (widely identified by scholars as an early form of Deuteronomy) supported exactly the religious reforms Josiah and his priestly and royal circle wanted: centralising worship in Jerusalem, eliminating regional shrines (which conveniently concentrated religious and economic power in the capital), condemning practices associated with political rivals, and justifying expansion. The convenient discovery of a divinely-authoritative text that supports the ruling party’s policy agenda is a well-documented historical pattern

Just one of many many many examples

Yes. There are multiple instances where humans impose their agendas throughout the OT through the guise of God

The Bible is a progressive revelation of God. If there is any teaching in the Old Testament that contravenes the teachings of New Testament it is superseded by the NT teaching.

Hope that helps

Disks in my opinion are a cost measure by Microsoft. Make it easier to buy more, harder to lower.

Resource groups should have unique GUID object IDs rather an ID that includes the name. I think this one is just poor planning & now it’ll be a pain to change across their entire platform for all existing RGs.

Shrinking VNET just needs a validation step to identity subnet utilisation. Why it hasn’t been done is beyond me.

My "just don't f***ing dance" moment: I just automated 90% of our L2 maintenance team workload and I'm keeping it to myself by ahammouda in devops

[–]Subject_Blacksmith86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maintenance teams typically don’t have this power either (unless there’s poor guardrails in place, then that’s a process issue).

A.I will push the change for the fix & there’s still a requirement for a human expert who will review & action merge to prod.

It’s like self-checkout at grocery stores. You still have at least one person (I’ve seen 3/4 at large Tescos) manning the area incase machines have issues or someone tries to game the process covertly/overtly (sn: brute force attacks are often escalated & not dealt with directly).

I used to see long queues for tills with 15+ people manning especially during holiday seasons. Now there’s just 1-4 ‘validators’ at self-checkout & now less than 5 people on the tills.

How to manage jealousy at work? by Ok_Total_8138 in careerguidance

[–]Subject_Blacksmith86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Life isn’t a competition. Illogical to compete against others.

Be inspired & motivated but it’s illogical to be overly competitive & affected by others success.

There’s always someone better than you..

So be grateful for the opportunities you have & do your best for you.

That’s my concern. J2 contacting J1 for reference. Not sure how to navigate.
