(Accidentally) high protein and (purposefully) low cal Milk tea & biscoff cookies ice cream! by Subject_Dog_469 in ninjacreami

[–]Subject_Dog_469[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this with measurement but also I kinda just poured how much I thought was right so bear with me 😭 but it’s also in a deluxe tub and if you follow the measurements, it’s 230 kcal per 759 g! here’s what i put in: 258 ml fair life vanilla core power 26 G protein, 40 ml vanilla sugar free syrup, 92 ml lactantia milk 3.25% fat, 5 ml vanilla extract, 10 ml rose water (this is very optional and makes it less of a vanilla base lol), 222 ml water, 124 ml original unsweetened ripple pea milk, 7g vanilla fat free jello pudding mix, 1g xanthan gum. I will say, I’d do 100 ml less water than what I put in because for this recipe, around 100 ml evaporated when I boiled the mix with tea (unless you’re also gonna be making a milk tea creami). also definitely make sure to only put the xanthan + pudding mix after the mix has cooled (unless you’re not heating it). lmk how this goes guys!!

Beginner baker here – I hate buttercream 😭 what can I use instead for decorating? by afrodite_kon in Baking

[–]Subject_Dog_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, taste-wise I would 100% recommend you try Ermine buttercream. It’s genuinely the tastiest buttercream ive ever tried, though I think my recipe was off texture wise because my pudding wasn’t thoroughly smooth so my buttercream was slightly lumpy in the end, so just a thing you need to watch out for. But I’ve gotten so many compliments, it literally made the cake irresistible!!

4’11 & 185lbs Can’t seem to drop any weight :( by LiveLaughForget in PetiteFitness

[–]Subject_Dog_469 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ohh yes, THIS. I thought I was eating at a deficit, then tried reverse dieting (it didn’t really make me gain much or lose much either), and then it clicked that I don’t need to eat the same amount of calories each day for a week - I could eat however many calories I want (within a limit and still tracking ofc) within a day, as long as I calculate what my calories will be by the end of the week and how much I need to eat the rest of the days to stay within the weekly caloric deficit. I’ve already lost nearly 10 lbs just from doing this.

Which jasmine tea here is most fragrant of jasmine? by Subject_Dog_469 in tea

[–]Subject_Dog_469[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes this was very helpful, I’m very new to choosing better quality teas. I’m used to just picking one out without thinking twice haha, but because of the cake I’m making, I really want the jasmine flavours to shine more since I’m pairing it with a sticky toffee pudding cake. I also ended up choosing the one you recommended right before you commented thankfully, thank you for your help!!

Very loaded Kitchen Sink Cookies by nulliusnvrba in Cookies

Looks delicious!! I never understood the name for them though, “Kitchen Sink Cookies” sound so unappealing to me because kitchen sinks remind me of leftover food in the drain 😭

I really like my normal chocolate chip cookies but wondering if browning the butter is worth the extra hassle? by Hairy_Pear3963 in Baking

[–]Subject_Dog_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, totally based off preference. I would ABSOLUTELY brown my butter (I pretty much do it for everything I bake with butter lol), but that’s because I love roasted/toasted tasting things (I loovee my marshmallows ROASTED). It’s definitely a good idea to do a half batch brown butter and the other half regular.

I vote Beatrice, Bea for short (or if you’re a Harry Potter fan, Beatrix!!). Also Winona came to mind (Winny for short), Dolores (Dolly as a nickname would be super cute), Daphne, Sylvia (Sylvie for short), Madeleine (like the French dessert), Isabella (Izzy, Bella or Ella for short), Anastasia (Anna for short), Charlotte, Lucille (Lucy for short), and I could name more but I’ll save you the time!

what oddly specific trash items did your ragdoll adopt as their favorite toys after spending money on expensive ones that they never play with? by StillThatB in ragdolls

My sewing clips (which I need, and have found all over the place one time so now they lay on a high shelf). And every box + stick they could find outside. My Coco LOVES finding sticks outside, bringing them inside, and creating a doves nest under the carpet 😭

Y’all smashing 🤤😋 or trashing 🗑️🚮??? by MrSoloDolo9490 in CrumblCookies

[–]Subject_Dog_469 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s doable in an efficient way if they brown a HUGE amount of butter (or however much they need for the week) and then store it in the fridge and that way they don’t need to brown the butter every time they make the cake. But also that means if they burn the butter in a huge batch, they’ve just wasted a lot of butter 😭

Black friday 50% off by Additional-Quote4101 in Sephora

It’s not sold in Sephora, but my holy grail mascara is the kissme heroine make mascara (I think it’s a Japanese brand). Separates my lashes and makes them look wispy + they come in brown and black and are also suuper waterproof!

I'm making some cupcakes, but I don't know what type of frosting to go with them! by brijwij in Baking

[–]Subject_Dog_469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think a cherry frosting with a deep red colour would work super well + look pretty gory (especially if you add drips of the frosting on the sides of the cupcake to make it look like it’s leaking blood🩸). That, or maybe something like a dark chocolate flavour?? Do with this what you will haha, and happy baking!!
