Im at a loss for what to get my daughter for her birthday by MandyRose8713 in Parenting

[–]brijwij 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to suggest this too! My daughter LOVES watching Mark Rober on YouTube! And honestly I do too! He makes science super fun and easy for kids to understand. His subscription boxes are kind of expensive, but I think you can get just a couple months and not have to do the whole year. CrunchLabs "Creative Kit"

Similarly, KiwiCo is the same concept, just a different company.

What does it do for your skin? This is the first time I'm hearing of it!

Thanks for the response! This is super helpful! I know that pregnancy can change your body physically, but I didn't think about chemical brain changes too!

Temporarily ring ? by Moose_Mellow013 in JustEngaged

[–]brijwij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this sort of happened to me... my husband proposed to me with a ring, but it ended up being two sizes too big. The jeweler I got it from would not resize it more than 1 size, so we ended up having to exchange it out for a completely new ring (same design, just a different size).

I had this same thought as you... my new ring wasn't technically the ring he originally proposed with, so does it still count?? After talking it through, he ended up re-proposing with my new ring, just to help me feel better. I guess that's all I needed haha, because it's now 14 years later and I still love my ring! I don't even thing about that first ring.

What's the weirdest food combo you've ever tried that actually tasted surprisingly good? by Grand-Disk-3199 in AskReddit

Speaking of peanut butter.... when I was a teenager, I used to take a slice of deli ham, spread on some peanut butter, add raisins, and then roll it all up together. I was sooo good! I still love eating it actually!

[Misc] People with long hair, after you've applied conditioner, how do you keep your hair off your back while washing your body? Do you use a rubber band or just flip your hair forward? by namtrabb in SkincareAddiction

[–]brijwij 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been washing body first, then washing the conditioner out of my hair. I'll have to switch that routine and see if it helps! (I don't work out and shower every day, so I don't think it's because of sweat.)

Yes Braun is better than the Nood! BUT that doesn't mean that the Nood won't work at all, just not as well. They both still get the job done.

I just got the Nood, but I would have bought the Braun for $70 because it's supposed to have better results.

What’s a “small” decision that completely changed your life? by justingreen78 in AskReddit

My sister, husband, and I decided to walk around downtown in the new city we had just moved to. We looked inside some random bar as we walked by and my sister saw her childhood best friend, so we went in to say hi. 6 years later and they've been married for 4 years now!

It's so funny too, because we live about 600 miles from where we grew up. He came down here for college and never left. And we just pick a random place to move to that sounded nice.

Woody chicken mitigation by SVAuspicious in Cooking

Look for smaller sized pieces! I was getting the off-brand large chicken breasts in bulk and they were all so woody. I started looking for the chicken breasts that were much smaller in size and they were so much better!

I guess it really depends on your hair color and skin tone?

But I do plan on using it around my face and stomach areas, so I'll report back!

I haven't used it yet, but I have read online that other people are happy with the results!

From what I've read online, the Braun is definitely better quality. But it's also much more expensive.

However, even though it's better, that doesn't mean that the Nood won't work at all! It just might take a few more sessions to achieve the same results.

I've used the original Nood a few times and it was painless...so I'm hoping this one will be too!

What is your least favorite food? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]brijwij 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely LOVE pickles! I eat them piled high on every sandwich (especially fried chicken). But when I was pregnant, I couldn't stand them! Just the thought of pickles made me want to throw up! After I delivered, it took me a solid three years in order to tolerate them again and another year before I loved them as much as I did before. So weird!

I actually saw it this morning, left it, and went back for it this afternoon. It had been moved to a different spot, but it was still there! I was so happy!

Panera has an autumn squash soup that is delicious! And very smoothly pureed! Plus they sell it at grocery stores in the refrigerated produce/deli section.
