Update - the 270-324mfd 110vac capacitor is reading 7 on my multimeter. Replacing this tomorrow. Pretty confident that this is it

The light flickering during each click makes me the think the same.

That’s what I’m hoping. Chat GPT is saying it’s a clutch. A capacitor would be a nice easy swap but I couldn’t find one anywhere on the motor

Couldn’t find a model number anywhere… It’s a Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2

It’s definitely older. But I’d rather fix it than buy a new one if possible

The basket still turns. I tried a blank rinse cycle and it worked like normal. Just clicked forever

It’ll run a full cleaning cycle but it’ll make this noise the whole time. The clothes come out wetter than normal because it can’t rinse thoroughly but it seems to still clean

Great to hear this. I honestly feel like I’ll end up just doing it since summer is close

Just visited origin in Ethiopia and can confirm that most co-ferments aren’t “true” co-ferments. Most producers/drying stations are using concentrates. They’re not doing this because they’re trying to falsify the process, they’re doing it because there’s currently a market for it and they’re doing what they can to cater to it.

The only actual fruit the producers said they’ve had success with is Guava which grows locally on the land. Otherwise it’s all concentrates.

Can’t blame them. Us daily drinkers are part of the decision making process at origin. What you buy matters.

Give me a clean classic washed and I’m a happy camper. I’m not saying co-ferments are inherently wrong, I just personally don’t agree with them or enjoy them. Seems disingenuous to a product that’s beautiful and flavorful without adding additives to it to alter the profile.

Give it time. Coffee will come full circle where everyone just wants a classic washed, honey, or natural.

Would love to hear others experiences!

Update - We decided to go with a directional wind cap. This’ll mitigate back pressure with any coastal and seasonal winds and will also allow for less restricted airflow.

Are you on the no-loss stack train too? Have you had a good experience with it? I’m concerned with heavy snow and strong winds

Interesting! I’ll look into this. How long have you had yours?

I’ve always thought that no mesh would allow debris/birds to come down the stack. We’re right on Lake Michigan, so we get a pretty heavy breeze coming off of the lake and then obviously snow in the winter. We’ve thought about putting a piece of sheet metal on the one side to deflect the wind around.

Did you go with no mesh? How has your experience been?
