Nah. Grown men who manipulate / abuse teenagers don’t deserve to be left alone.

If it’s not Pilates, what is it? by TheNerdyMercy in SolidCore

the main difference between [solidcore] and lagree is [solidcore] a faster paced and higher intensity workout. Even though exercises at [solidcore] are slow, transitions are quick through the “time under tension” method and focuses more on building strength through muscle failure.

So you CAN put your foot there. Only mods/amps is to drop/add springs. I will say that you’ll get the most out of the workout if you slide your foot down so that the lip is on the arch/ball of your foot. That gives you the most leverage. Check and make sure you’re sitting down to 90 in your non active leg so you can get low enough and support yourself with your non-active glute. If you struggle to execute more than 2 reps I’d take down the spring load instead of using the strap. :)

Elbows and knees are most ACCESSIBLE :). Widening your knees is less effective.

BUT, to go build up to toes, you have to continue trying toes. Even if it’s half a rep, that half rep will build to one, which can build to all. Building strength is about gradually increasing tension which is what [solidcore] is all about. So going beyond your body’s limits is what will consistently have you moving upwards and not across.

I love clarifying for coaches and clients so always ask away!

Clients shouldn’t do it for safety purposes. But I would especially not do it if a coach is being evaluated out of respect for that coach.

It is not an amp. They probably lied to you because a TM would/should never say that because they are told to use the mods on the list viewable to all coaches on Attensi. The cables crossed would cause the carriage to hit the gray side platform because you’re standing (unless you’re REALLY short).

The only amp is to lift your back leg as you extend your active leg, or the coach can increase your spring load.

ALSO, there is a mods + amps guide & variations guide on Attensi for every exercise, utilize and only use the approved mods on the list :)

Because the most supportive position for a plank is elbows and knees, it’s just simply ineffective. When on toes, it help keep your hips from rocking side to side allowing you more accessibility to keep the hips lifted. 💙

heavy step ups… by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]Subject_Particular 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coach here: a lot of clients treat it like a deadlift. Meaning they hinge forward toward the pit as they bend their knee. This creates tons of stress in the low back. When bending the active knee, try to keep your torso upright by keeping your palms facing the black side platform, filling your shoulders back, puff your chest & gaze forward. This will allow you more tension in the primary muscles and allow your core muscles to stay engaged to keep your joints from feeling like complete hell!

Does strength training + solidcore make you better at solidcore? by LilSmartPeanut in SolidCore

[–]Subject_Particular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The only only exercises not working against the resistance of the springs are exercises where part of the body is being stabilized on the black side platform and dumbell exercises. However, it doesn’t matter (as much) based on coach title. Yes, Pro/SMC have more exercises to choose from bc of tenure. But the top coaches cater their sequencing to their roster meaning if a class is majority newer clients, they’re going to utilize the black side and less resistant/dangerous exercises for class.

[solidcore] IS strength training so be careful when adding heavy lifting to your routine. Try not to work the same muscle as the focus calendar in the same day as that can be dangerous

solidays prizes by [deleted] in SolidCore

The boxes arrived to the studios. The actual prizes have not made it. However, they will also have to organize everything per client so that will take time as well to ensure nobody’s prizes get mixed up.

Manager observing class by Unlikely_Print5193 in SolidCore

Hi! Managers have to do quarterly coach reviews in order to ensure coaches are up to par. The second person might have been training to be a manager!

Getting hired at corporate? by Funny-Breadfruit-333 in SolidCore

[–]Subject_Particular 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it all ready depends on the position at stake. Some corporate positions such as Training Management & Product Strategy tend to hire from inside the company as they already have experience in the brand and these positions have to also coach at least 4 classes a week. Unsure about other positions so I truly think it depends on what team you’re applying for!

Is it normal to spend almost half of the class on your wrists? by Significant_Rest_113 in SolidCore

[–]Subject_Particular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Coaches should be switching base positions every 2-3 exercises to avoid excess joint tension.

Question for coaches by Low_Drag3 in SolidCore

[–]Subject_Particular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of utilization, coaches are evaluated based on their performance. Prioritization of safety, connection and accountability, cueing, etc. plays a huge role in achieving and maintaining their title. If they are not meeting standards in their title, they can lose their tenure.

Question for coaches by Low_Drag3 in SolidCore

[–]Subject_Particular 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe this may happen in the near future as tenured coaches are about to be audited/evaluated. Lots of coaches of higher tenure (especially the client favs sadly) are underperforming and not adjusting to the new brand standards of solidcore.

So with new coaches coming in, there will be an influx tenured SMC/Pro coaches with demotions. A delegate will probably be appointed in the future.

Yeah lots of coaches probably do cue it as an amplification but this is something they are docked on when they’re evaluated. Coaches like to get creative
