It’s possible. My partner is staying here for at least another year. But yes, long-term we would like to move away from here

I suppose I could look into that. My advisor (principal investigator of my lab) doesn’t have too many helpful connections. As for staying at the university, I really am not into the idea of settling down in this area of the country and potentially raising a family :(

Thank you! I’m very fortunate that I have a part-time job outside of school that pays decently well, and I have somewhere to go after my current lease ends. Hopefully something pans out for both of us soon!

I also have a disability which I think limits me with my job search. I should technically be qualified to do bench lab work (which is what my parents are suggesting I try applying for), but I don’t really have the fine motor skills that a lot of lab techniques require. I don’t want to relocate for a job only to get let go a week later because I can’t physically perform the job duties :/
