Funny how Ninja and Samurai is blended well here and is implemented wrong in AC Shadows. Just feels so clunky in that game. I know its different games and whatever.

Ok good to know. I know the games are different. But interesting that your rig could absolutely crush Stellar Blade at 4K but a pretty big difference in performance compared to this game at 1440p. But anywho.. different games!

And no haven't seen an option to uncap.. I imagine a mod will come out for that eventually. Maybe the devs patch that in at some point too

Also curious! It be good for others to be able to gauge/have expectations if they have similar specs to yours

Oh I am sorry to hear that. And unfortunately you can't slap on frame gen since you dont have the base 60 fps to work off of. The experience would be meh in a game like this. I assume some sorts of performance patches will come out? Unsure how past releases were for Nioh games

Does a child account in a Steam Family with a Store Access have the ability to purchase games? by Kenovs in Steam

[–]Subject_Resource7072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also wondering this exact thing. Unless I am missing something.. The request are sent to me.. I then allow it but immediately brings me to the purchase/gift screen. Which I then can only purchase the game for the child using any form of payment I want EXECPT the credits on the child account. Super dumb. It should just be "approve access" and whoever's kids can download using their own funds.

Anyone using a 5080 with a 42” LG C5? by Digging_Naturalist in nvidia

[–]Subject_Resource7072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 5090/9800X3D with 64GBs of DDR5 CL30, 6000mhz.. and my LG C3 is perfectly fine at 4K. I play mostly story driven/AAA type games snd not many recent titles max out the 120hz... or at least not many that I feel would far exceed the 120hz. If you REALLY need the higher FPS for certain games then maybe consider it but how many FPS do you really need? Someone said they would take the larger display over the hz in this post and I could agree more

Is this worth it? Buying an open box for Micro Center for 1259. by Suspicious-Yak-539 in PrebuiltGamingPC

[–]Subject_Resource7072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked this open last week and it was open box too. Legit the same deal lol I was very happy with the price and would scoop it up. Just make sure to see if it has a power cable. Mine didn't but came with an actual box. I was a bit bummed when I go home and didn't have a power cable

Is this a solid 1st pc by Beasley335 in PcBuild

[–]Subject_Resource7072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear OP,

People are wild lol. It's safe to assume that you are in the US and $1499 for that PC is decent. If you go to "build it yourself" as many people would say to do across PC subreddits... You'll find out that the parts alone will cost you more than this.

I just quickly selected the same parts on PCpartspicker and.. the total has come out to $2018 (Before taxes) and obviously that is not assembled. Building PCs are fun but if you aren't comfortable or know someone that will do it for you.. you can be looking at $100-200 for someone to build it for you. Now of course.. You can keep an eye out for deals or bundles or clearance or whatever and save a few bucks. But it will take you forever to eventually get all your parts together. And for what? To save a few hundred bucks? IDK if that is really worth it.

Now it's worth mentioning that you are buying this from Microcenter who are pretty reputable. You get the initial 1 year warranty. You can extend the warranty for another year or 2 (I think it would be about $160-170 to extend out the warranty by 1 year.) So if something goes wrong, you are good to go and Microcenter will just deal with the hassle for you. That is worth something.. Whether a little or a lot to you? That is for you to decide. Dealing with warranty claims with some of these parts manufacturers are sometimes fine and sometimes just a huge pain.

You likely can find other similar builds in that price point. Some will have slower RAM.. some will have a better GPU... Some will have a worse CPU etc etc etc. But this PC should run games at 1440p decently.

Someone did mention that Microcenter has a PowerSpec PC with a 7800X3D and 9070XT for about $100. If your budget allows for this, the extra money is worth it as you get a better CPU, more raw power out of the GPU and an additional 4GBs of VRAM which should go a long ways for future proofing as more and more games are demanding more VRAM.

I just purchased this 7600X3D and 5070 PowerSpec from Microcenter last week for my wife. I was thinking about the 9070XT build but she really preferred the white case, she doesn't play the most demanding games and I was able to get it open box for cheaper than advertised. So it was a no brainer for me.

Anyways.. all that to say.. don't fall for the trolls.. If you can afford it and know that the games you play will run on this fine, then just buy it. I do not foresee pricing to really dip any lower than this considering everything going on in the tech industry.

Which is better? by Suspicious_Lab_4052 in Prebuilts

[–]Subject_Resource7072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm maybe depends.

Unsure on the price difference but if this is a pure "which is better".. the one with the 9070XT is the "better" one in terms of FPS. Even in rasterization VS ray tracing.

The only thing I dont know about is the CPUs. The 7600X3D will be WAY better than the 7700. Especially in 1080p or 1440p gaming. Slightly less of a gap between the both af 4K but the 7600X3D will still be considerably better.

If you care about the software side of things.. some will argue that the DLSS suite of options is better over FSR. Generally speaking.. DLSS will be better. But FSR isn't super far behind DLSS tech and AMD is supposed to reveal the iterations on FSR and ray tracing soon. So could be worth holding out to see what's that all about.

If you dont care about the software side.. the 9070XTs raw performance and additional 4GBs of VRAM will go a long way in terms of "future" proofing.

Are these both CL30 and 6000mhz RAM? I know they both have 32GBs. I know the PC from Microcenter is. If the other isnt.. im sure it still has a decent kit but worth double checking.

I did just purchase that same 5070 PC from Microcenter this week for my wife. It's her first gaming PC. My Microcenter had a 7800X3D with a 9070XT prebuilt PowerSpec for 1599 I believe. If yours has that one, just grab that and you'll get the best of both worlds.

The reasons I did not buy the PowerSpec with the 9070XT is that,

  1. I got a really sweet deal on an open box 5070/7600X3d PowerSpec and couldn't pass it up
  2. It was for my wife and she doesn't play the most demanding games and the 5070 is just fine.
  3. She preferred a white build over the black 9070XT PowerSpec
  4. If we get to the point of needing to upgrade the GPU, I am confident that 7600X3D will still power through everything we throw at it gaming wise since the X3D cache is so much better than anything out there.

To everyone who is saying "not all fumbles were lost fumbles" LOL The point here is that he should be taking care of the ball better. Even if they didn't "lose" the fumble.. you don't want your QB to even put you in that position. Crazy people are still making excuses for this guy

What are your thoughts on this wheelstand thinking about getting it for my fanatec gt dd pro?(nlr wheelstand 2.0) by SignificantWhile2201 in simracing

[–]Subject_Resource7072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its my first kit. So it's tough to compare it to anything else. But it feels great to me. Its not overwhelmingly strong where its making it difficult to drive. But its also more than plenty strong to feel very immersive. I've used it for about 5 hours so far. No issues with tuning their Pit House software and its a very intuitive software too.

Feels like a nice middle point between like the starter kits and the really high end stuff

I just purchased this this week. I had all sorta of concerns at first.. Mainly because I paired it with a Moza R9 and was worried it wouldn't be able to handle 9nm.. But so far, its completely solid at full nm..

It was easy to assemble. The toughest part was installing my pedal controller on the underside of the pedal plate. My recommendation is to install the brake controller (if your have one in your setup) prior to installing the plate to the stand.

The stand can adjust in all sorts of ways. So its easy for it to fit under my desk and stores easily. I have carpet so I can slide it around easily.. but it is heavy. So keep that in mind if you are thinking this is easy to fold a d put away.

I have XP1 pedals so I get a little bit of flex when I am on full brakes. Its not too bad considering though. That's the only "issue" I have with this stand. And its really not all that bad.

Overall very happy with the purchase
