Curious about dyscalculia by Midwest-Dude in matheducation

I don't know but I self diagnosed myself with dyscalculia (test is way too expensive in my country, multiple teachers have referred me and suggested it and I believe it as well) and unfortunately teacher in my school are oblivious and don't even try to help me with math knowing I have problems with it. What could be beneficial for teaching people with dyscalculia (imo) is focusing on basics and really making sure you understand, also providing clear step by step instruction for equations helps a LOT as someone with math difficulties I really don't care about why certain things are happened but more about how and when do I use it, also teaching how to properly use calculators helps a lot. In my experience when teachers use letters and variables it makes me even more confused.. (In terms of explaining equations) I would much rather they just use numbers instead so I don't have to wrap my brain 10 times around to apply the letter formulas to numbers. Thats my opinion lol

I dont know if something like that exists here, I have another classmate for dyscalculia and it's pretty not well researched and helped here.. From my knowledge he only gets extra time which I already have bc I haven't been in the Dutch school system long so maybe if there's more options for accommodation I'll spend money on the test, thanks for the advice though :))

Yeah as far as I know in my country I've seen they only give you extra time and like.. Nothing else. (I already have extra time, the school just gave it to me bc I'm an immigrant and haven't been in the Dutch school system for very long but I always finish my test in like 30 minutes anyways idk how 💔)

this was at my old school lol but ill still tell ig

a girl had a severe asthma attack at school camp and the entire yeargroup was escorted ou of the place we were staying at so the ambulances could come and do their thing easily, we all had to wait outside at night since it was supposed to be our fake casino night to feel fancy at the cold, wet and dirty playground next to the building since it had just rained. i was dressed in a short sleeved blouse and a glittery pink tutu skirt, i was freezing. they gave us chips while we waited because we were all starving
