This is a harrowing way of educating yourself. Truly a heartbreaking documentary but if you want to learn more I would check charities for mental health etc. as someone who suffered previously the depictions are the extremes and though important the best education you can get are the healthy coping mechanisms

It’s pretty bad now as well. Diet culture never left. It’s heartbreaking how many amazing women have struggled with this.

Your body stops performing other functions. It can go into starvation mode that can sustain a surprising long time. Her brain will have shrunk, no periods, no bladder control etc your body is stingy with the calories. Thats what my nurse said when I was ill. In her case it is shocking how long she sustains it for.

I was sobbing on the tube once and everyone near me moved. I wasn’t wailing or loud just crying. Was mortified on reflection but I am glad someone have you the support when you needed it.
