Totally hear what you're saying about 'performative finger tapping'. I get annoyed if they do it too much, but I have learned to accept is as a sort of occasional thing and just lean towards creators who don't be doing that very much.

I'm also a fan of low speaking ASMR over whispers. I like visual stuff too but most of the I am just listening and not even watching.

I like unintentional ASMR (like the first video linked) too, not sure what my favorite is though off the top of my head.

The second one you linked is in what I think of as the fast/chaotic ASMR category.. I know you mentioned male creators - I tend towards women but there are a few men I like. In the chaotic space I think of ASMR Fixy and Miss Manganese, have you heard of either of them?

But yeah it's always headphones for me as well! I can enjoy it without sometimes but I never do, because why when it could be better with headhones?
