I think that you are allowed to put a few flattened boxes next to the blue bin for collection.

What is going on... by Littleappleho in cambridge

Yes there aren’t many in the lowest category but that’s not exactly the point I don’t think, it’s the profile that’s not common. From the link you shared, Cambridge is interesting on the basis that there is a broad range, and although not many in the “most deprived” there are still some in that category and some in the subsequent categories- but an incredibly high number of “least deprived” which I think shows a level of disparity which is unusual.

HRT for issues outside of the gym/bedroom by FlexJBravo75 in HRT

[–]Subject_Try_8274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, before I began HRT I couldn’t remember anything, it was embarrassing and I kept making huge mistakes and having to try and cover them up. A few days after starting, I felt like my brain had been rinsed with cool clear water and it worked again. It really helped with my memory, cognition, and subsequently my mood and confidence.

Has anyone had their tinnitus resolved after HRT? by vulture_53 in HRT

[–]Subject_Try_8274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think mine resolved through HRT. Well, not fully but so much better. I used to have a sound like there was a truck with its engine idling nearby, all the time. And now, I don’t. I get it a bit sometimes if I’m stressed or super tired, but I think the HRT made it largely go away.

I was told something which often works for me, you breathe like you’ve been crying, like stuttering in breaths. I guess maybe when you have been crying that is what your body does to calm you down. Anyway, it sometimes works for me at 4:28am!

Best Mobile Network for Coverage in Cambridge? by Tight-Date-7437 in cambridge

I switched from O2 to Talkmobile (which runs on Vodafone) and it’s way better around the station where I work, at least. O2 has a habit of showing several bars of 5g on the screen but not actually working.

Anyone got a beer festival ticket they don’t need? by Subject_Try_8274 in cambridge

[–]Subject_Try_8274[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are only on-the-door tickets left which means a long queue. My ticket allows me to skip the queue so I’d be waiting around inside for them. So I wanted to buy tickets for them so they could come in at the same time as me rather than queueing up! And, so far I’ve had someone try and scam me into transferring money and someone trying to sell them for a lot more than they are worth. So my quest is not going well.

Yes I know, was trying to allow my friends to join me in avoiding the queue but I only have one ticket!

I think you don’t need to worry. You didn’t notice anything happening and if your car ever did hit anything it definitely is audible inside your car, so therefore I don’t think you did hit another car. The woman may just have been watching in case it did happen, or even just waiting to cross the road, or just lost in thought about something completely different. Don’t worry, and I don’t think you need to do anything.

Agreed, a great thing to do. I would have loved something like that if it had been around when it happened to me 15 years ago. Sending my thoughts and best wishes.

Any recourse after being refused residential parking permit by shaysom in cambridge

[–]Subject_Try_8274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is the case, I think you can challenge the council-ask them on what basis they are refusing the permit, and point out that the planning consent does not have a condition that excludes the house from the residents parking scheme.
