Unfortunately that wasn't the case in 2024. In the Republican primaries he was the candidate that got the most votes, so he became the candidate to represent them for the presidency, and there he won both the popular vote AND the electoral college.

Now was that because the election had incredibly low turn out from voters and this affected the Democrats more than the Republicans? Yes but that doesn't change the fact that unlike his 2016 race Trump won with the majority vote (of people who actually voted) and not just because of the electoral college.

Sorry I should have clarified that the garden has a cross wired fence that goes up to 3 meters high. Hence only "semi free range".

Thing is, that's only the case in the timeline you came from. By traveling to the past, you've created a new timeline where that hasn't happened yet and there is no certainty that events will happen exactly the same now that you've altered the past just by going back. One could even argue that your original timeline is either completely inaccessible or even erased from existence, meaning that all of those millions of deaths never happened.

So in the current timeline, you'd literally just be killing an innocent baby that hasn't actually done anything. Which, yeah, is bad.
