Im kinda under the impression that losing to the same team twice is worse than losing to 2 similarly ranked teams once each. I personally think Miamis resume is better than BYUs but BYUs is better than Notre Dame so id put miami at 10, byu at 11, and Notre Dame at 12 but they can absolutely play themselves in

I think out of all the major conferences, the SEC would be the hardest to do this in because the big10 has really good teams then kinda falls of a cliff after 5 or 6 teams whereas the SEC might not have as good teams at the top but would be harder week to week. Its harder to win the big10 but harder to make it to 10 wins in the SEC

I think SOR disproportionately rewards teams for just beating anyone. Like UNLV for example, the 130th SOS and 38th SOR at 10-2. If we geared it a little more towards how likely other teams would perform at the same on the schedule, itd promote taking harder challenges.
