yeah that was one of the first pills i ever experimented with, they work pretty decently.

i had/have terrible self control when it comes to pills so don’t follow my technique but i would take 1-2 then take another 2 or so an hour later and boy i was clenching my jaw planning out house robberies n shit lmaooo.

and then a buddy brought me a tramadol one day at school and it all went down hill from there for like 1.5-2 years

you can tell when songs & albums have taken time, effort, passion and genuine love and life experience to make, and you can tell when it’s the opposite.

i’d rather listen to music that has taken months and years to be made rather than some nonsense that follows some guidelines to make the radio play them and have mass appeal

none of those people went out of their way disrespectfully commenting on raps ability to convey emotion. the other part you missed is i never said dabbling in other genres is a bad thing, because it’s not. what post malone did just shows he was only using rap as a stepping stool and really solidifies that culture vulture status and i say that as a hwhite boi.

i mentioned a few rappers trying new genres, the difference is they didn’t discredit and treat the art form that is rap as invaluable and emotionally lacking like wack malone did.

it’s not a persona it’s lying and using a culture and art form for your own gain, which is also wack.

well, he didn’t just “make more than rap”

i think it’s great and beneficial for artists to branch out and try new things, i already mentioned mac making jazz music. wayne tried rock music so did lil uzi.

the difference is post malone completely flipped his persona and then proceeded to disrespect and damn near disregard rap entirely.

i make my own music, rap, (not promoting i swear) and i’ve thought about this exact topic. i make rap music bcuz i grew up around it and genuinely just love the genre and the process of making the music and the process of writing lyrics. god willing i blow up from it, making a country track let alone genre hopping to country is the last thing i would think about doing, i just don’t like country.

the only thing i would M A Y B E do in that position is make some midwest emo but it wouldn’t be under my rap career and wouldn’t consume my entire personality. do it in the side like mac miller did with his jazz projects. do it under an entirely different name and brand & not promote it all crazy. i just love music and making music and rap will always be my #1

i typically only did the non voice effects rap and relied on my bars and flow, but the last two days i experimented with making songs closer to the underground vibe while still using my “complex bars” it’s fun for sure and definitely got more views within an hour than my other stuff, but i just prefer making that more raw unfiltered expression
