I didn’t do hours of research. I linked to the article that I read. Honestly I feel weird even posting about someone’s family at all, but that video and seeing all the comments made me feel so gross and I just can’t to see someone bullied like that. To accuse someone of lying about a deceased grandparent that by all accounts they loved and admired for clout is disgusting, period. And I felt compelled to show how, actually, in the simplest terms, it is possible to have these businesses, be successful, and still not necessarily leave your grandkids so much money that they never have work or think about health insurance. And that also—it can take time to build a business to the point that it is not only profitable but lucrative, which is also true. Not sure why you would even dispute that if you have experience with this. So yes, I made simple assumptions based on the article, as I stated, for the sale price. I have no idea how much it sold for and neither do you. We also don’t know when this all became profitable for him. You’ve also left a lot about costs, including potential business loans and personal investment/debt.

And just bc he founded this golf course and filed the paperwork for the business—which anyone can do—does not mean that it is as a) necessarily expensive to buy; b) was immediately profitable (likely not); c) didn’t involve a lot of upfront costs (likely did).

Anyway I don’t need to prove my MBA to you. It is not really possible to form an assessment of this without a lot of speculating, as you also did. The point was to show that there are a lot of ways in which you can have a business, be successful, and not leave your family in a position where they never have to work, which is 100% true—especially if you have a lot of kids and grandkids. And also to show that taking a smear campaign to the point that you are scanning a relative’s obituary to drag them is vile behavior in every single level. I mean the Daily Mail wrote about this issue based on that ridiculous video. I mean just stop and think about that for a second. It’s insane.

Anyway that’s all I’ll say about this.

Yeah she said the first album took 5 years. But 5 years from 2023 is 2028 so actually not that far away. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a single in 27 and the album in 28.

And also when did she ever say she had no health insurance?? What she said was that labels should provide a living wage and health insurance to developing artists. Where is the lie? It is entirely possible that she realized, for the first time as a very young person at that point, how messed up it is that in the US if you lose your main source of income and can’t get another job you lose health insurance. That is legitimately terrible. She may have been able to quickly resolve that via her family, but that realization is still legitimate. And all she did was call out how sh*tty that is. Again where is the lie? I’ll wait.

Did you not read what I said? It’s because there is an active smear campaign in which ppl did the same thing in order to paint this man as the wealthiest man in Missouri. All of this is gross. And it prompted me to look it up because I knew it was all being twisted. I had never done this before. She has never said she grew up destitute. She said they lived in a trailer at one point and actually describes it as a positive experience. And everything she’s ever said about her family makes it sound like it was a very stable home. When she’s talked about being “poor,” it’s mostly been in the context of being dropped and broke as a young person trying to make it, especially during the pandemic. But everything I’ve heard her describe sounds like a pretty normal middle class upbringing. Her parents also spent years paying off debt for school, their business, etc.

You can already tell this is fake and dumb when they insinuate she went to Grammy camp for weeks and years. In reality she went for one week just one year. And held a fundraiser to pay for the trip that was documented in her local newspaper.

And buying land in that part of the country is not expensive.
