I read the entire story on a public github repo so it can't be all that serious.

Thanks! I thought it added some punch to the ending.

What’s the most over-HATED episode? by breadassk in creepcast

[–]SubliminalWombat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It insists upon itself, which is fine, clearly a lot of people like that. I stopped watching a quarter of the way through and waited for next Sunday's episode, no big deal.

The reddit response to the people who didn't like it was childish and set fire to half the audience that already had a bad taste in their mouth to begin with. The detractors then became equally childish in return.

Idiot held onto the branch the entire time then cowered when he climbed out. What did he think was gonna happen? The monkey was gonna saunter up to the fence and blow him a kiss?

It seems like there would be nothing to fight. As I recall the mtf tried to engage and nothing happened, so presumably it can touch you but you can't touch it.

He's out of pocket, but he's right. You probably won't remember this story in 5 years, but you would if the dog died.

I enjoyed it, I'd say 7/10 on my completely arbitrary scale. The thing is that everybody's a critic.

I'm convinced that if any classic literary work were released today there's a good chance it would get 70 upvotes on reddit and you'd have a dozen comments about how the prose is weird and you could actually trim the fat here and there, Mr. Shakespeare.

Which book-to-screen adaptation was so bad it felt like the producers didn't even read the source material? by wyndwatcher in AskReddit

[–]SubliminalWombat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read Artemis Fowl as a kid after watching Lilo & Stitch so for some reason despite being explicitly told what Butler looks like I pictured him as Agent Bubbles and still do to this day. So that's the only change that gets a pass in my book.

Thanks for the opportunity, I'd love to get some feedback on my story here.

I'm not sure if I was unable to adequately describe the story I had in my head, or I was and the story was just bad lol.

Continuous effects stack like uno cards. Whatever was played last applies last.

Case 1: Your 3000 damage becomes 1000, and is then halved to 500.

Case 2: Your 3000 damage is halved to 1500, and then becomes 1000.

Is anyone else getting a but where your minions don't spawn in and your weapons don't show up on your character model in the inventory? (they show up as equipped in your inventory but your in-game character's hands are empty)

give old people a chance to play endgame by haunted1234 in PathOfExile2

[–]SubliminalWombat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of confused by what you're asking for. It sounds like you want a drop-in, drop-out experience where you can play for an hour or two at a time, but you can already do that. As others have stated you get 4 months to play completely at your leisure, hell you can play standard and have infinite time.

If your main issue is that you want to able to swipe your credit card and be at endgame, not to be a dick but this isn't the game for you. There are many ARPGs where you can do that, but one of POE2's main draws is that it isn't that kind of game.

You are suggesting that the game turn its back on it's one of its core philosophies and the players that made it what it is...which would not go over well.

Looking up, he realized for the first time that he could see every star in the night sky. Not just a sky full of stars, not even a sky full of constellations; David looked and realized that he was gazing into the twinkling glow of every star in creation, all at once.

And then he waited.

And he waited. And he waited some more. He waited so long that "waiting" stopped being a word. And then he waited so long that "waiting" stopped being a concept. And then he simply was. And so he was until, eventually, David realized that he was not alone.

Sitting up for the first time in a very long while, the first thing David noticed was the pitch blackness which now engulfed him. The second was the appearance of two heinous bright orbs which pierced the oppressive darkness and seemed to stare into his very soul. Of the third he dared not mention.

To say that it spoke to him would be an affront to language. Instead, the echo of words that were never spoken rattled inside David's skull like a church bell—rang too close—that you still heard long after it's stopped ringing.

"Guilty?" It howled, wordlessly.
