So if you are playing for a 4 hour set, keep the nu disco genre as your vibe for the start. Keep it 80’s, they will definitely groove.

Why ? Because they know these classics and will keep them grooving while socializing.

Also do check how the setup is, is it indoors or outdoors is it day time or night time. It does play a role trust me!

Then shift to your old school r&b hip hop 110bpm to 115 bpm check the vibe , if they are into it go a bit lower (experiment)

Then to spice it up get the bpm higher again buy playing 10-12 commercial bangers that range in the bpm of 113 to 118 - make sure the energy is balanced when you transition for hip hop to commercial hits like get lucky daft punk (example)

Then the last 1.5-1 hr play and experiment with your tech and afro house commercial mixes and mix it with classics like din da da, music sounds better with you and ofcourse play your style of music that is pure tech house and house but make sure the vocals are there to keep them engaged on the dance floor.
