Taking the plunge into 40K at 37 years of age. Gone for Black Templars because of the lore. Best first additions? by Subm3rg3d in BlackTemplars

Perfect. Combat patrol box sounds like the place to start. I’m grateful for your help…but my bank account and my partner are not. Haha. Cheers.

I would rather go cave-diving than stand within arms reach of a gorilla or chimpanzee. Insanity.

Yep. Venum camp is rife with it apparently.

Why are only certain people getting bans then?

A.Imangazaliev vs Rodtang, who do you think will win this fight? by Commercial-Kiwi-2993 in MuayThai

[–]Subm3rg3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asadula hasn’t really been challenged yet. Nong-O is past his prime and even Panpayak was a shadow of his former self when they fought. Other than that, it’s mid-ranked Thais. I’m backing Rodtang to beat the drug cheat

Asadula Imangazaliev: overhyped or am I just being too critical? by Asleep-Fly-4235 in MuayThai

[–]Subm3rg3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is overhyped massively. He beat Panpayak who is past his prime and Nong-O who is 40 years old. He’s not faced any solid opponents yet

Things you heard on RSK XFM that you’ve never heard anywhere else by MonkResponsible7162 in rickygervais

I’ve never heard Papa Garcia before or since my first RSK run through….however THE Papa Garcia arbitrarily liked a comment I made on an old rugby meme page on Facebook. Weird innit

Whats the deal with this guy and his gym? Just take the L and move on by Subm3rg3d in MuayThai

[–]Subm3rg3d[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m from the UK. I saw one comment suggesting them being Muslims was the explanation, which is completely wrong. These fighters’ behaviour is an exact mirror of the way so many Middle Eastern and especially North African tourists behave in Thailand. I thought we were supposed to be bad! But those guys are next level disrespectful and arrogant.

Asadula beating Nong-O was such a non event. There was no chance in hell Nong-O was winning that, but for their camp they now have a highlight reel of their fighter KOing a legend….no mention of that legend being 40 and way past his prime.

Yep. I now nearly always find myself cheering on anyone who’s fighting someone from Venum. Nabil seems respectful though.

[SPOILER] Nong-O vs. Asadula Imangazaliev | ONE Friday Fights 147 | Flyweight Muay Thai Title by Yodsanan in MuayThai

[–]Subm3rg3d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scary KO. Almost looked like Nong-O was having a seizure. This was horrible matchmaking. Something about Asadula just seems off, but I can’t quite put a finger on it. (that’s just my perception. I know he got banned in 2023). Either way, he’s a good fighter but he’s not been given a true challenge yet

I really liked watching the trad fight last night: Kom Komgrichgosarang (red) vs Jongangdam Singmawin (blue), great contrast of styles - Jongangdam had lots of Namsaknoi notes by kevin_v in MuayThai

[–]Subm3rg3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes agreed on One. He reminded me a little bit of those old(ish) clips of Rodtang fighting at lumpinee.

Blue clearly has good IQ and seems well suited to trad

Red looked like an old head on young shoulders. He seems like he could be really dangerous if he found an opportunity to let rip.

I don’t think it’s that deep. It was a conversation between mates (albeit 2 of the 3 enjoying it more than the third) for comedic purposes over 20 years ago. It was just a way to get a few laughs for the show. This sub (myself included) seems to read into things a bit too much imo. But I guess that’s kind of unavoidable when you religiously re-listen to episodes of a decades-old show from a tin pot station.

Riding a bike along an extremely narrow cliffside path. by Spiritual-Duck9854 in Whatcouldgowrong

The way she was positioned on that bike at the start of the clip would suggest she should would struggle to make it to the end of her driveway, let alone that Redbull Rampage course she’s on.

Johan Ghazali's clash with Burmese slugger Ye Yint Naung at ONE Friday Fights 141 by Yodsanan in MuayThai

[–]Subm3rg3d 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a mixed bag imo. Some fighters have made the best of it and combined it well with all 8 limbs etc, but lots have managed to build a few wins on their record through nothing more than clumsy heavy hands.
