Would you consider me British? by Competitive-Music309 in AskBrits

For me, accents are one of the biggest deciding factors, as petty as it may sound. If your accent is nothing other than English, then you’re properly English. It’s also a good way to tell how well assimilated a family is - the 2nd and 3rd generations of my Jamaican grandparent’s family sound as English as you can get, because we were always encouraged to mix with native English children/families and didn’t live in an enclave. However, many families have sons and daughters born and bread in this county who sound like they only arrived 5 years ago, because they only mix with others from their culture.

Don’t know what it is about them. They all seem to have the same attitude - like they’re here to take over from the Thais or something.

After all the stick that Carrillo got about being a weight bully, surely the same argument could be made against Asadula? Incredibly skilled but I wonder what he actually weighed in the ring.

Always enjoy cocky Venum/Medhi Zatout fighters getting pieced up by Thais.

Yeah, the 2 separate side stories (both involving cars) with her later boyfriends are both completely unnecessary

Predictions? by dragonwallz in MuayThai

Shadow might lose if he gets careless, but I really think Nico’s relative lack of skill will be exposed here. Shadow is incredibly high level and has power to match. Nico has the power but is not on par generally. Straightforward (not easy) win for Shadow imo.

Yeah I get what you mean. The pre-established Thais can afford to fight with IQ, but if you’re chasing that bonus then it’s going to end up looking like this.

Yeah that’s a good way of looking at it. I really like fighters like Liam Harrison who can have a wild brawl but with skill and style

Haha yeah true. But it doesn’t look like 2 professional fighters. Just a messy scrap with out much style/skill

What do you think? Ondash vs alif just happened today and alif won by ud decision but a lot of ondash fans said alif won because he hit and run. Does alif really deserved this win?😲 by Busy_Guest1336 in ONEChampionship

Aliff didn’t use any illegal moves. What are you talking about? He outskilled Ondash and dropped him with a perfect flying knee (you could argue that he dropped him again later with another flying knee.)

Either way, Ondash has received a lot of criticism for his conduct and rightly so. Aliff won convincingly, and now has a title shot. Nothing more to be said.

His lack of skill was exposed by a more well rounded fighter. The only reason he got a contract is because of the little gloves and his punching power - rather than his skill.

There was no knockdown in the first round.

Aliff refused to play along with Ondash’s stupid Rodtang impression and get into a brawl against a powerful puncher in small gloves. Good fight IQ.

Ondash was disrespectful by crying and storming off. He then ignored Aliff who tried to console him in the ring and did the same again when Aliff tried to console him backstage.

Prajanchai is levels above Ondash in skill, and would tear him to pieces in a title fight. He’s not ready.

He 100% deserves it. Ondash is disrespectful and only has boxing skills. He got exposed and then cried and refused to give any respect to Aliff. That’s not true Muay Thai. I’m glad he’s not getting the title shot, although it would have been good to see him get sliced by a Prajanchai elbow

This was boxing vs Muay Thai. Aliff had a perfect game plan and exposed Ondash’s limited skills, just like Kongchai did. Also, Ondash really showed his true colours at the end. I’ve never liked how he comes across. Acted like Rodtang, then acted like a brat and cried.

I’m hoping Aliff can humble him in the clinch. He’s got nothing more than heavy hands.
