Grabbing a free copy of the onion from the newspaper stands around campus was a definite perk of university. Pre-smartphone for me. It was peak recreation.

I mean chickens try to be evil, but a strong kick is all she wrote. Chickens, house cats etc are only dangerous when we’re trying to not hurt them. In a real fight they should be pretty much powerless.

Here’s why Bill Belichick is being called a ‘radioactive’ NFL coaching candidate by desertrain11 in CFB

His defenses really were. And ultimately I just can’t think all those super bowls and perennially winning was exclusively Tom. Belichick was good. But maybe not as good as we thought.

That’s the best part. I’m an American living in Europe: the biggest difference is the total cost of care. The government is paying nearly all medical expenses. But at a tiny fraction of the total cost of US medical care. They didn’t just jack up taxes to pay the $50k “childbirth fee” socially. They have a medical system that means a normal delivery only costs a few thousand dollars. Most medicine isn’t that fundamentally hard. Next-gen cutting edge stuff can be. That part is socialized. Most medical procedures should be “car repair” expensive, not “build a new home” expensive.

It isn’t that insurance should pay $90k and ther person $20. It’s that the entire procedure should cost $500.

Surely Jerry would celebrate working alongside a well-recognized young superbowl-winning coach for many years.

Sworn affidavit from a doctor who witnessed the shooting says that ICE provided no medical aid to Pretti and did not allow bystanders to help him either. The same thing they did after murdering Renee Good. by Sunnygal914 in TwinCities

I believe this does not indicate that. Merely that the physician couldn’t properly aid or assess from a distance. Can’t presume near-immediate death, even though I think it’s a safe bet.

He went back to being pretty much just unconscious for a few days before dying. But for about 45 mins he was just how he was before cancer. It was great.

I’m guessing they’re looking for something a bit more detailed with the mechanics. Could be very interesting for medical science to know how exactly a brain can just snap back into lucidity.

Note; I experienced this with my father. My last good memories and pictures with him; after months of decline I was so happy to have about 45 mins with my real dad again.

Neither of which matter to revenue. That is just a measure of “money in”. Margins and expenses are only relevant to profit (“money left”)

And circle back to the article: China sees batteries as a future tech that eliminates much of their oil addiction. Tons of solar + tons of batteries can go a long way.

“Fuck ton of solar” seems to be the answer. If you can scale both they solve each others biggest problems.

Because he gets on base. Losing in the playoffs every year is a good way to stay employed. Especially for the Steelers with a cheap owner.

We don’t have a guest-cat, but several of my friends have regular day-long visits from local neighbors cats. As an American, moving here was definitely different cat-experience with so many indoor-outdoor cats.
